The Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad (IIT (ISM) Dhanbad), formerly known as the Indian School of Mines, is an autonomous technical institute located in Jharkhand, India. The institute was established in 1926. IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is ranked #17 in the engineering category by NIRF Ranking 2023. 

The flagship course offered by IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is the B.Tech program. IIT (ISM) Dhanbad B.Tech admission requires a Higher Secondary Certificate degree (10+2) with at least 75% marks. To be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam, candidates must rank among the top 2,50,000 scorers in the B.E./B.Tech. paper of the JEE Main exam, regardless of category. The top 2,50,000 candidates from each category will be selected based on their performance on the B.E./B.Tech. paper. Seats will be allocated to candidates from different categories based on the following percentages: 10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 40.5% OPEN. Within each category, 5% of seats are reserved for the PWD candidates.
