Lovely Professional University (LPU), was established in 2005 solely as a private university located in Jalandhar Punjab scattered over an area of 600 acres. The University holds the 31st rank under University Category and 44th position in India under management category as per NIRF ranking 2025. Its ranking in 2024, for management was 38. LPU is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A++’ grade. Also,the university got recognition from UGC, NCTE, PCI, COA, BCI, PSCAE, and many other organizations.
LPU is considered to be one of the largest universities in India as it has more than 30,000+ students and 2000+ faculty members. The university offers 200+ programs in multiple disciplines in the fields of Engineering, Business, Law, Architecture, Management, and others.
Admission to LPU is determined by the entrance examinations for the selected program. The majority of UG and PG courses initially are covered in LPUNEST but now CUET marks for UG courses are taken into consideration for admission and scholarships in LPU.
For admission to several professional courses like MTech, MBA, and BTech, scores of national-level exams like JEE Main, CAT, MAT, CLAT, NATA, and many others are considered.
