CTET 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the CTET 2026 City Intimation slip for the September session exam a few days before the exam date. The exam city slip will be released only for those candidates who registered for the exam. The CTET 2026 city slip will be released on the official website: ctet.nic.in. The CTET 2026 registration process started on May 11, 2026, and the last date to fill out the application form was June 10, 2026. The application correction window opened from June 15 to 18, 2026. The CTET 2026 exam for the September session will be conducted on September 6, 2026. The examination will be conducted in 132 different cities across the country.
Once the CTET 2026 city slip is out, the CBSE will release the CTET 2026 admit card for the September session exam two days before the exam date on its official website for applicants who successfully registered for the exam. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) closed the CBSE CTET Registration 2026 on the official website. Applicants could fill out their CTET Application Form 2026 before June 10 (11:59 PM). Applicants were able to submit their application form by following the steps below.

Candidates from the General/OBC(NCL) category were required to pay a fee of Rs 1000 if they wanted to appear only in paper 1, and they had to pay a fee of Rs.1200 for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. SC/ST/Diff. Abled Candidates were required to pay Rs. 500 for paper 1 and Rs. 600 if they wanted to appear for both paper 1 and paper 2.
CTET Eligibility 2026

CTET Exam Pattern 2026
The Central Board of Secondary Education prescribes the CTET 2026 Exam Pattern. The CTET exam consists of two papers - Paper I and Paper II, and the CTET exam pattern lays down the structure of both papers, including the number of questions asked in the exam. Apart from that, the exam pattern also consists of information on the marking scheme.
Both the CTET Paper I and Paper II consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). One mark is given to each question; the CTET exam marks are 150. The paper does not have any negative marking for any wrong or unattempted answers.
This time, the CTET exam will be conducted in CBT mode, and the questions will be conceptual.
CTET Paper 1 Exam Pattern 2026
Candidates who wish to become teachers for classes 1 to 5 appear for the CTET Paper I. The paper will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, and candidates have to attempt the exam in 2.5 hours. In this subject, the topics are divided into two parts: One includes History, Geography, and Social & Political Life, and the Second one includes Pedagogical issues. The ratio of questions will be 40:20, respectively.

6. Social and Political Life
Through this section, the candidate's knowledge about the surroundings and the topics.
There will be 20 questions from this section, and the motive of this section will be to understand the candidate's intelligence and presence of mind for Pedagogical issues.
CTET Result 2026
CTET result 2026 for the September session will be tentatively released by the end of October 2026. Candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to check the results from the official website by logging in to their registered accounts using their roll numbers. The board releases the CTET 2026 Result for both Paper I and Paper II together. The CTET 2026 February session result was released on March 30, 2026, on its official website by CBSE.
Apart from the results, CBSE will also release the CTET scorecard on the official website. Before releasing the CTET results, CBSE will release the provisional answer key. Later, candidates will be allowed to raise objections. Once the objections are raised, the board will evaluate those objections and a final answer key will be prepared. CTET Cut Off 2026
CTET cut-off refers to the minimum marks scored by a candidate, and it will be released by the CBSE. Candidates should note that the cut-off for the teacher eligibility exam varies for different categories. Both CTET papers I and II are of 150 marks, and candidates who belong to the general category are required to score marks equal to or more than 90, whereas OBC/SC/ST category candidates need to score 82 out of 150 marks.
