Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is a central university in Delhi founded in 1920. It is accredited with an A++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and ranked 8th for law colleges, secured #3rd rank in the Sustainable Development Goals category and backed #4th position in the university category as per the NIRF Ranking 2025 across India.The admissions to UG courses are offered on the basis of CUET UG results 2025.

Jamia Millia Islamia offers a wide range of courses including undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and distance learning programs in various disciplines, including chemistry, computer science, and more. These courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). 

The Departmnt of Psychology at Jamia Millia Islamia has introduced a two-semester, RCI accredited Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling, inaugurated by an orientation programme for new students. The initiative was supported by Vice Chancellor Professor Mazhar Asif and Registrar Professor Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi. 

At the orientation, Prof. Rizvi emphasized the significance of faith in mental health and hailed the department's rigorous efforts. Department Head Prof. Samina Bano and Programme Coordinator Prof. Sheema Aleem expressed gratitude to the university authorities and collaborating faculty, noting the course distinctiveness among Central Universities and its goal to uphold high professional standards.

Guest speakers, including experts from AIIMS, IGNOU and other premier institutions, delivered insightful sessions on child dvelopment, protection, special needs, mental health and substance abuse. New students voiced pride in joining the programme and a commitment to excellence and ethics in the field.

Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, has started the online admission process for B.Tech and B.Arch 2025 through JEE MAIN/NATA scores, with the last date to apply being 30th April 2025. For other UG courses, applications close on 10th April 2025, with entrance exams scheduled in May.
