MHT CET Exam 2024: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra is set to commence the MHT CET Counselling 2024 for candidates who qualified the exam and obtained the MHT CET rank. The conducting body has released the tentative dates for the MHT CET CAP registration. As per the notice, the expected date for the counselling registration is July 10, 2024 for students who wish to secure admission to B.Tech programs. Students eligible for the counselling process have to register at cetcell.mahacet.org with their candidate's login credentials. Once successfully registered, aspirants will be able to fill in their course and colleges preference for admission to engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy programs.

The conducting body has allowed students to check their MHT CET Answer key 2024 again on the official website using their login credentials. Aspirants from PCM group can download the answer key from June 27-28, 2024; while PCB group can download the answer sheet from June 29 to June 30, 2024.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra conducted the MHT CET 2024 exam from April 22 to May 17, 2024. The MHT CET result 2024  was announced on June 16. Once the result is announced, students can download their scorecard.

What is MHT CET Exam 2024?

MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Government of Maharashtra's State Common Entrance Test Cell. The exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, and Agriculture in colleges in the state of Maharashtra. The exam is usually held in the month of May every year, and the application process for the same starts in January. The exam is conducted in an online mode and consists of multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology. The MHT CET score is used by various colleges and institutions in Maharashtra to offer admission to students. MHT CET application form 2024 is out on the official website. MHT CET Result 2024

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra will release the MHT CET result on June 19, 2024. The result includes an overall percentile score as well as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subject-specific marks. After the results are announced, the authority also publishes the MHT CET merit list. The merit list will contain the names of the candidates who have been shortlisted for the MHT CET 2024 Counselling.

MHT CET Result: Tie-Breaking Policy

In case of a tie in the MHT CET exam, the following tie-breaking policy is applied:

• Applicants who scored better in the mathematics section of the MHT CET will be given priority.
• Candidates with better MHT CET Physics scores will be given preferential precedence if the tie continues.
• Candidates who scored better in Chemistry on the MHT CET will be given preferential precedence if the tie remains.
• In the event of a tie, preference would be given to the applicant who received the highest percentage of marks in the Class 12 examination.
• If there is still a tie, consideration will be given to the candidate who is older in age.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Aspiring students must meet the eligibility criteria to fill out the application form. Aspirants failing to meet the eligibility requirements will be disqualified from the selection process by the conducting authority. Interested students can check the eligibility criteria below:

Education Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/ IT/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/ Technical Vocational subject in order to take admission to B.E/B.Tech course. For admission to pharmacy courses, the candidate must have Physics & Chemistry along with Biology or Mathematics.

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for the exam.

Nationality: Students must be an Indian citizen.

Applicants can fill out the application form once they have ensured they meet the eligibility criteria. The application forms are available on the official website of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. While filling out the application form candidates have to upload certain documents. Once the application process is successfully completed, the conducting body will release the admit card. The admit card is released a few days before the scheduled exam date. Candidates must note that the admit card is an important document that they must carry with them to the examination centre. MHT CET Answer Key 2024

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra releases the answer key on its official website after the exam is successfully concluded. Candidates who appeared for the examination will be able to download the answer key and response sheet using their roll number and date of birth. It must be noted that the answer key released by the conducting body before the result will be provisional in nature. In other words, students can raise objections against the answer key if they are not satisfied with the answer provided in the answer key.

The MHT CET final answer key, however, is released along with the result. The final answer key is not objectionable, though.

MHT CET Counselling 2024

The MHT CET Counselling is conducted for those candidates who qualify the exam. The counselling process includes registration, document verification, choice filling & choice locking, seat allotment and payment of admission fees. The counselling process is conducted in three rounds and after the completion of each round, the State Common Entrance Test Cell releases the MHT CET cutoff 2024. The tentative MHT CET CAP date is July 10, 2024 (B.Tech) and July 11, 2024 (B.Pharma).

The MHT CET counselling fee is Rs. 600 for applicants in the reserved category (SC, ST, VJ/DT-NT (A), NT-1 (B), NT-2(C), and NT-3(D), as well as OBC and SBC) and Rs. 800 for applicants in the general category. There are several online payment methods available for counselling fees, including credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and others. The fact that the counselling fees are non-refundable must be noted.

MHT CET Cutoff 2024

The MHT CET Cutoff is released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra on its official website. The cutoff is released in the form of opening and closing ranks for each participating institute. Candidates falling in the cutoff range are required to report to the allotted college or institute with their original documents. Selected students are also required to pay an admission fee to confirm their admission.
