MHT CET Exam 2026: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, is expected to release the MHT CET 2026 first attempt results for PCM and PCB in the second week of June 2026 on its official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. The Maharashtra CET cell earlier released the Provisional Answer Key for MAH-MHT CET 2026 PCM group second attempt on May 28 on its official website - cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates could raise objections against the provisional answer key till May 30, 2026.

Earlier, Maharashtra CET cell released the updated answers for PCB group first attempt exam on its official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. According to reports, the CET cell validated objections against two unique questions and subsequently updated the official answer key. Candidates can soon expect the updated official answer key for the PCB group based on the objections submitted.

The authority had earlier released the Provisional Answer Key for the MAH-MHT CET 2026 PCB group first attempt on May 13, 2026. Candidates could raise objections against the answer key from May 13 to May 15, 2026. To raise objections, students must pay a fee of Rs. 1000 per objection through the candidate portal.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, also released the MHT CET 2026 schedule for the second attempt on April 26, 2026, on its official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. According to the latest schedule, the PCM group second session exam was conducted from May 12 to 21, 2026, while the PCB exam was conducted from May 10 to 11, 2026. The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, issued the MHT CET City Intimation Slip 2026 on April 4, 2026, and the admit card for PCM was made available from April 7, 2026. 

The CET 2026 schedule began on March 24, with the MHT CET exams for PCM and PCB groups set to be conducted in multiple sessions across April and May. The exam authority announced the MHT CET Exam Dates 2026 on its official portal. For the PCM group, the session 1 exam was held from April 11 to 19, 2026, and the second session exam was conducted from May 12 to 21, 2026. The first session examination for PCB 2026 was conducted from April 21 to April 26, 2026, and the second session exam for PCB was conducted from May 10 to 11, 2026. 

Aspiring students must be aware of the pattern and the MHT CET syllabus 2026. The detailed syllabus will be released by the Common Entrance Test Cell along with the notification for both PCB and PCM aspirants. As per the MHT CET 2026 exam pattern, the total number of questions asked in the exam is 150, with a maximum of 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.

The initial registration process for these examinations, including the extended deadline with late fees, concluded on February 27, 2026, but due to numerous requests via in-person visits, emails, and phone calls from candidates, particularly those in rural areas across various districts of Maharashtra who missed the application window, the State CET Cell decided to extend the registration process. As per the latest information, the State CET Cell will release the city intimation slip for the MHT CET exam 2026 once the registration window closes. The registration process was conducted for the PCM & PCB streams. The exam authority has increased the MHT CET 2026 registration fee to INR 1,300 for general candidates. However, for reserved category and PwD candidates, the application fee for the MHT CET 2026 exam is INR 1,000.

The MHT CET Result 2026 is expected to be declared in June 2026, after which students will be able to download their scorecards.

What is the MHT CET Exam 2026?

MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Government of Maharashtra's State Common Entrance Test Cell. The exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, and Agriculture in colleges in the state of Maharashtra. The exam is conducted in an online mode and consists of multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology. MHT CET 2026: New Changes Announced

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test 2026 will be held twice a year, starting from the academic year 2026-27. On the lines of JEE Main exam, the MHT CET Exam 2026 will be conducted in two different sessions- April and May. Once the application process is successfully completed, the conducting body will release the MHT CET 2026 Admit Card. The admit card is released a few days before the scheduled exam date. MHT CET Answer Key 2026

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra releases the answer key on its official website after the exam is successfully concluded. Candidates who appeared for the examination will be able to download the answer key and response sheet using their roll number and date of birth. It must be noted that the answer key released by the conducting body before the result will be provisional in nature. In other words, students can raise objections against the answer key if they are not satisfied with the answer provided in the answer key.

The MHT CET final answer key, however, is released along with the result. The final answer key is not objectionable, though.

MHT CET Result 2026

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will release the MHT CET result likely in June 2026. The result includes an overall percentile score as well as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subject-specific marks. After the results are announced, the authority also publishes the MHT CET merit list. The merit list will contain the names of the candidates who have been shortlisted for the MHT CET 2026 Counselling.

MHT CET Result: Tie-Breaking Policy

In case of a tie in the MHT CET exam, the following tie-breaking policy is applied:

• Applicants who scored better in the mathematics section of the MHT CET will be given priority.
• Candidates with better MHT CET Physics scores will be given preferential precedence if the tie continues.
• Candidates who scored better in Chemistry on the MHT CET will be given preferential precedence if the tie remains.
• In the event of a tie, preference would be given to the applicant who received the highest percentage of marks in the Class 12 examination.
• If there is still a tie, consideration will be given to the candidate who is older in age.

MHT CET Counselling 2026

The MHT CET Counselling is conducted for those candidates who qualify the exam. The counselling process includes registration, document verification, choice filling & choice locking, seat allotment and payment of admission fees. The counselling process is conducted in three rounds and after the completion of each round, the State Common Entrance Test Cell releases the MHT CET cutoff 2026. The tentative MHT CET CAP date is July 2026

The MHT CET counselling fee is Rs. 600 for applicants in the reserved category (SC, ST, VJ/DT-NT (A), NT-1 (B), NT-2(C), and NT-3(D), as well as OBC and SBC) and Rs. 800 for applicants in the general category. There are several online payment methods available for counselling fees, including credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and others. The fact that the counselling fees are non-refundable must be noted.

MHT CET Cutoff 2026

The MHT CET Cutoff is released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra on its official website. The cutoff is released in the form of opening and closing ranks for each participating institute. Candidates falling in the cutoff range are required to report to the allotted college or institute with their original documents. Selected students are also required to pay an admission fee to confirm their admission.
