MAT Exam 2025: December Exam Dates, Registration, Pattern, Admit Card, Syllabus

MAT Exam 2025: The All India Management Association (AIMA) conducts the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) four times a year. The MAT 2025 exam for the December 2025 session will be conducted in two modes: PBT and CBT. MAT PBT will be conducted on December 13, and MAT CBT will be conducted on December 21. The registration process for the December session exam is ongoing, and the last date to apply is December 7 for PBT and December 15 for CBT. The test offers admission to MBA and PGDM courses in over 600 business schools in India. The registration process for the MAT exam 2025 is being conducted at mat.aima.in.

The MAT exam is conducted in three different modes: offline or paper-based test (PBT), online or computer-based test (CBT), and remote or internet-based proctored test (IBT). Before applying for the exam, candidates must check the MAT eligibility on the official website.

• AIMA MAT December exam schedule is now available at the official website - mat.aima.in. 
• MAT December registrations are open, and the last date to register is December 7, 2025, for PBT mode and December 15, 2025, for CBT mode.
• MAT PBT Exam for the December session will take place on December 13, 2025. MAT Admit card 2025 will be released on December 10, 2025.
• MAT CBT Test for the December session will take place on December 21, 2025. The CBT admit cards will be available for download on December 18, 2025.

Once the registration process is completed, AIMA releases the MAT admit card on the official website. Candidates can download the hall ticket by using their registration number and password. 

The MAT syllabus is divided into five sections: Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, and Indian and Global Environment. The test paper consists of 200 questions, equally divided among all five sections. The official syllabus for MAT is available on the website for the candidates to download. 

MAT results are released in four different phases, following the conclusion of the exams. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official website. Once the results are out, AIMA releases the cut-off list for admission to MBA programmes in various business schools across the country.

MAT Exam 2025 Registration

The registration process for the MAT exam 2025 is done at mat.aima.in. Candidates can register themselves on the official website, mat.aima.in. The registration can be done by following the steps below:

Step 1: Visit mat.aima.in

Step 2: Register yourself by entering details like name, date of birth, email ID, phone number, state, etc.

Step 3: Select the preferred mode of exam (CBT, PBT, or IBT)

Step 4: Enter the preference for five business schools  

Step 5: Pay the examination fee of INR 2,200

Step 6: Upload a recently clicked passport-size photograph and signature

Step 7: Click on submit and download the acknowledgement slip

Candidates appearing for the MAT 2025 exam will be required to pay the following amount of application fee while registering for the examination. 

MAT Exam 2025: Eligibility

AIMA has prescribed the eligibility criteria for applicants interested in appearing for the MAT exam. As per the criteria, there is no age limit for the applicants to register for MAT 2025. Here are the MAT eligibility requirements to take the exam:

• Applying candidates must have a valid undergraduate degree in any discipline
• If the candidates don’t have an undergraduate degree, they must at least be appearing for their final exams in the same year as applying for MAT
• There is no limit to the number of attempts for the MAT exam

MAT Exam 2025: Syllabus

AIMA has designed the official syllabus for the MAT exam preparation. Candidates appearing for the exam can download the syllabus from the official website. The syllabus for all five sections contains various subtopics. The syllabus PDF can be downloaded from the official website.

MAT Exam 2025: Admit Card

The admit card for the MAT exam is released separately for all four attempts. Candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official website of AIMA. Here are the steps to download the MAT admit card 2025:

Step 1: Visit mat.aima.in

Step 2: Log in to the dashboard by entering your credentials

Step 3: Click on the admit card notification link

Step 4: Check all the details mentioned on the admit card

Step 5: Download the PDF and print out a hard copy of the admit card

In case of discrepancy in the admit card, candidates must report to the official authorities.

MAT Exam 2025: Results

The results for the MAT exam are released on the official website, mat.aima.in. Candidates can download the official scorecard using their login credentials. The MAT results are also released in four phases, following the exams. 

After downloading the results, candidates can apply for admission to more than 800 business schools for an MBA. However, candidates must remember that the selection criteria for MBA may vary for different institutions participating in MAT. 

MAT Exam 2025: Cut Off

The cut-off for the MAT exam is released soon after the results are out on the official website. The cut-off lists are prepared on the basis of various factors, including the difficulty of the exam, the number of appearing candidates, the marks obtained by the candidates, and the number of participating institutes. 

The MAT cut-off is released on the official website, mat.aima.in. Once the cut-offs are released, candidates are then invited for the counselling and selection process. 

MAT Exam 2025: Counselling

The MAT selection process consists of a written ability test, group discussion, and personal interview. However, not all the participating business schools conduct all three rounds for the selection process. 

The final admission offer is made based on the candidate’s performance in the selection rounds, performance in 10th and 12th grade, and the marks obtained in the MAT exam 2025.
