MAT Exam 2026: The All India Management Association (AIMA) has announced the MAT May 2026 Exam Dates. In addition to this, the MAT Registration 2026 has started as well at the official website. For the Pen-based Test (PBT), the registration window is active till May 25, 2026, while the last date to register for Computer-based Test (CBT) is June 8, 2026. The All India Management Association (AIMA) has released the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) Computer-Based Test (CBT) admit card 2026 on March 5, 2026. Candidates who successfully registered for the MAT CBT exam 2026 can now download their admit card for the exam scheduled to be held on March 8, 2026, from the official portal - mat.aima.in. The AIMA released the admit card for the MAT PBT exam on February 26, 2026, and the exam was conducted on March 1, 2026. The registration process for the February session exam has been concluded. Once the registration process is completed, AIMA releases the MAT admit card on the official website. Candidates can download the hall ticket by using their registration number and password. 

The MAT syllabus is divided into five sections: Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, and Indian and Global Environment. The test paper consists of 200 questions, equally divided among all five sections. The official syllabus for MAT is available on the website for the candidates to download. 

MAT results are released in four different phases, following the conclusion of the exams. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official website. Once the results are out, AIMA releases the cut-off list for admission to MBA programmes in various business schools across the country.

MAT Exam 2026 Registration

The registration process for the MAT exam 2026 is done at mat.aima.in. Candidates can register themselves on the official website, mat.aima.in. The registration can be done by following the steps below:

Step 1: Visit mat.aima.in

Step 2: Register yourself by entering details like name, date of birth, email ID, phone number, state, etc.

Step 3: Select the preferred mode of exam (CBT, PBT, or IBT)

Step 4: Enter the preference for five business schools  

Step 5: Pay the examination fee of INR 2,200

Step 6: Upload a recently clicked passport-size photograph and signature

Step 7: Click on submit and download the acknowledgement slip

Candidates appearing for the MAT 2026 exam will be required to pay the following amount of application fee while registering for the examination. 

AIMA has prescribed the eligibility criteria for applicants interested in appearing for the MAT exam. As per the criteria, there is no age limit for the applicants to register for MAT 2026. Here are the MAT eligibility requirements to take the exam:

  • Applying candidates must have a valid undergraduate degree in any discipline
  • If the candidates don’t have an undergraduate degree, they must at least be appearing for their final exams in the same year as applying for MAT
  • There is no limit to the number of attempts for the MAT exam

After downloading the results, candidates can apply for admission to more than 800 business schools for an MBA. However, candidates must remember that the selection criteria for MBA may vary for different institutions participating in MAT.

The cut-off lists are prepared on the basis of various factors, including the difficulty of the exam, the number of appearing candidates, the marks obtained by the candidates, and the number of participating institutes.
