MAT Exam 2024: The All India Management Association conducts MAT or Management Aptitude Test four times a year. The test offers admission in MBA and PGDM courses in over 800 business schools in India. The registration process for MAT February 2024 has now started at mat.aima.in.

The MAT exam is conducted in three different modes: offline or paper based test (PBT), online or computer based test (CBT), and remote or internet based proctored test (IBT).

Latest Updates:

  • MAT registration process for May 2024 session is now open at the official website. Candidates interested can apply for MAT IBT, PBT, or CBT mode online. 
  • AIMA MAT result for February 2024 session is now available at mat.aima.in. 

Once the registration process is completed, AIMA releases the MAT admit card on the official website. Candidates can download the hall ticket by using their registration number and password. 

The MAT syllabus is divided into five sections: Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, and Indian and Global Environment. The test paper consists of 200 questions, equally divided among all five sections. The official syllabus for MAT is available on the website for the candidates to download. 

MAT results are released in four different phases, following the conclusion of the exams. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official website. Once the results are out, AIMA releases the cut off list for admission to MBA programs in various business schools across the country.

MAT Exam 2024: Registration

The registration process for MAT exam 2024 has started in January 2024. Candidates can register themselves on the official website, mat.aima.in. The registration can be done by following the steps below:

Step 1: Visit mat.aima.in

Step 2: Register yourself by entering details like name, date of birth, email id, phone number, state, etc.

Step 3: Select the preferred mode of exam (CBT, PBT, or IBT)

Step 4: Enter the preference of 5 business schools  

Step 5: Pay the examination fee of INR 2,100

Step 6: Upload a recently clicked passport size photograph and scanned signature

Step 7: Click on submit and download the acknowledgement slip

MAT Exam 2024: Eligibility

AIMA has set up an official eligibility criteria for applicants interested in appearing for the MAT exam. As per the criteria, there is no age limit for the applicants to register for MAT 2024. Here are the eligibility requirements for the exam:

  • Applying candidates must have a valid undergraduate degree in any discipline
  • If the candidates don’t have an undergraduate degree, they must at least be appearing for their final exams in the same year as applying for MAT
  • There is no limit to the number of attempts for MAT exam

MAT Exam 2024: Exam Pattern

MAT Exam 2024: Admit Card

The admit card for MAT exam 2024 will be released separately for all 4 attempts. Candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official website of AIMA. Here are the steps to download the MAT admit card 2024:

Step 1: Visit mat.aima.in

Step 2: Login to the dashboard by entering your credentials

Step 3: Click on the admit card notification link

Step 4: Check all the details mentioned on the admit card

Step 5: Download the pdf and print out a hard copy of the admit card

In case of discrepancy in the admit card, candidates must report to the official authorities.

MAT Exam 2024: Results

The results for the MAT exam are released on the official website, mat.aima.in. Candidates can download the official scorecard using their login credentials. The results are also released in four phases, following the exams. 

After downloading the results, candidates can apply for admission to more than 800 business schools for MBA. However, candidates must remember that the selection criteria for MBA may vary for different institutions participating in MAT.

MAT Exam 2024: Cut Off

The cut off for the MAT exam is released soon after the results are out on the official website. The cut off lists are prepared on the basis of various factors, including the difficulty of the exam, number of appearing candidates, marks obtained by the candidates, and the number of participating institutes. 

The MAT cut off is released on the official website, mat.aima.in. Once the cut offs are released, candidates are then invited for the counselling and selection process. 

MAT Exam 2024: Counselling

MAT selection process 2024 consists of a written ability test, group discussion, and personal interview. However, not all the participating business schools conduct all three rounds for the selection process. 

The final admission offer is made based on the candidate’s performance in the selection rounds, performance in 10th and 12th grade, and the marks obtained in the MAT exam 2024.
