NEET Application Form 2026 (OUT): Dates, Registration Link, Steps to Apply

NEET Application Form 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 till March 11, 2026 (9:00 PM). Registered candidates can pay the application fee till 11:50 PM. The NTA has released the application form for the NEET UG 2026 exam at neet.nta.nic.in. The NEET UG 2026 registration started on February 8, 2026, and the last date to submit the application form was earlier scheduled as March 8, 2026. As per the official notification, NTA will conduct the NEET UG exam 2026 on May 3, 2026.

The NTA has also released the NEET exam dates 2026. Before registering online, candidates are advised to check the NEET UG eligibility requirements provided in the information bulletin. After filling out the application form, candidates will also be required to pay the NEET UG application fees. The fees will vary for candidates belonging to different categories. Candidates who successfully register themselves will be eligible to download their NEET UG admit card.

NEET Application Form 2026: Highlights

The application process consists of several steps, including filling in the information, uploading the documents and submitting the application fees. Once the NEET UG form-filling procedure is finished, candidates will be given an opportunity to make any necessary adjustments or corrections.

NEET UG 2026: NTA Issues Advisory on Updation of Documents

The National Testing Agency has advised all eligible NEET UG aspirants to ensure that the following documents are updated well in advance before applying for NEET UG 2026 to avoid any discrepancies, grievances or rejection at a later stage:

Aadhaar Card: Applicants should make sure that their Aadhaar Card is accurate, valid and updated in all respects. The Aadhaar details must correctly reflect the following information of the Candidate: Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Photograph, Address, Biometric Information (wherever applicable). Candidates requiring any correction or update in their Aadhaar details may do so by following the UIDAI guidelines.

UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities): Candidates must ensure that the UDID Card is valid, updated and renewed, as required.

Category Certificate: Candidates are advised to check that the category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) is updated and valid.

Step 3: Upload scanned images

→Click on “Upload your recent documents”

→ Select the files to be uploaded

→ Click on “Next”

Step 4: Make Payment

Choose the preferred payment method (SBI, Syndicate, HDFC, ICICI, Paytm Payment Gateway using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net-Banking, or UPI).

Step 5: Print Confirmation

The completed NEET application form and confirmation slip should be saved and printed.

NEET Registration 2026: Difficulties Faced by Candidates

Last year, the authorities released the application form on February 7, 2025. Candidates were allowed to register online till March 7, 2025. Candidates who registered for the NEET exam last year faced some of the following common difficulties while filling out the application form:

• Payment confirmation errors: Candidates have complained about not receiving payment confirmation notifications even after the amount is deducted from their accounts. For this issue, NTA has shared bank helpline numbers in the NEET UG information bulletin.
• Automatic logout in the middle of NEET form-filling process: Candidates have reported that their accounts got logged out while they were in the middle of filling their application form. If this issue persists, candidates are advised to contact NTA authorities via email or helpline numbers.
