IIT JAM Eligibility 2024: Check Requirements, Age Limit, and Qualifications

IIT JAM Eligibility 2024: JAM, or Joint Admission Test for Masters is a common entrance test conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). IIT JAM exam dates 2024 are out on the official website. The exam is all set to be held on February 11, 2024. This time, JAM is going to be conducted by IIT Madras.

Before applying for IIT JAM 2024, candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria. The exam is conducted in seven different specializations including biotechnology, chemistry, geology, mathematics, economics, mathematical statistics, and physics. Candidates are required to have undergraduate degrees related to their choice of subject.

IIT JAM Eligibility 2024

The Joint Admission Test for Masters or JAM is going to be conducted in February 2024. The exam is primarily directed for candidates who wish to pursue higher studies in the field of science. Given below are some of the basic eligibility requirements for candidates appearing in IIT JAM 2024.

• Candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree, or they must be appearing for their final exam in the same year as appearing for JAM
• If the candidate does not have a marksheet, they must provide a written proof stating the subjects they studied in the semester, signed by the head of the institution
• Foreign nationals who own an Indian degree are also eligible to apply
• Candidates are required to provide a certificate of physical fitness during the time of admission

IIT JAM Eligibility 2024: Age Limit

IIT JAM does not have any maximum age to apply. The only condition to be fulfilled is that the candidate must have an undergraduate degree in their field of study. 

However, IITs participating in JAM may have their specific age-related eligibility requirements for admission. These requirements stand independent of the IIT JAM requirements. Thus, candidates must check the eligibility criteria of all the IITs offering admission.

Biotechnology
