CSIR NET Application June 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is closing the CSIR NET 2026 application window today, June 19, 2026. Those who haven't applied yet must fill out their application form before 11:50 PM by visiting the official portal - csirnet.nta.nic.in and completing the process. To complete the registration process, applicants need to pay the applicable fee online through the payment gateway using Debit/Credit Cards or Net Banking. Candidates can pay their online application fee till june 20, 2026. Once the application process is over, the NTA will open the application correction window from June 22 to 23, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. The CSIR NET exam 2026 will be held on July 17 and 18, 2026. The CSIR NET 2026 application form was released on May 27, 2026.

It is important to check the eligibility criteria for the CSIR NET exam 2026. The CSIR NET eligibility is prescribed by the UGC, and it is released along with the CSIR NET official notification. Candidates can visit the official homepage of CSIR NET to download the application. Further, the NTA provides an application correction window wherein aspirants can make changes in their application form if they enter any incorrect information. 

CSIR NET Application Form 2026 Eligibility

To register for the CSIR NET June exam, candidates have to fulfil the following eligibility requirements: 

  • Applicant must be a citizen of India. 
  • The maximum age limit to apply for JRF is 30 years. However, candidates belonging to the Third Gender, OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/ Person with Disability (PwD) categories will be allowed a relaxation of 5 years. Female candidates will also be allowed a relaxation of 5 years. 
  • There is no upper age limit in applying for the Joint CSIR UGC-NET for Assistant Professor/admission to PhD.  

Once the CSIR NET application form is released, candidates can register online by following the given simple steps.

Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in 

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads 'Fill online application form' 

Step 3: Now, candidates need to fill in their DOB, mobile number, email ID, name of their parents, and other information as asked. 

Step 4: With this, candidates will receive a registration number and password on their registered email ID or phone number.

Step 5: According to the latest official announcement made by CSIR NET, candidates do not need to provide any documents, including the Category Certificate, the Result Awaited Attestation Form, and others, while completing the online application. The application will be deemed incomplete without the scanned copy of the photo and signature, which must still be uploaded. Applicants must provide scanned copies of their passport-size photo and signature that adhere to the required standards.

Step 6: Now a new page will open which will consist of different columns which aspirants need to fill, this may include their name, mother's name, father's name, identity type, identification number, DOB, gender, address, city/town/village, email ID, landline number, locality, state or UT, mobile number, password, security questions, password confirmation and security answer.

Step 7: Once the candidate has filled out the entire form, they have to enter the captcha and click on submit. 

Applicants must pay the application fee online using the Syndicate/SBI/HDFC/ICICI bank portal using a debit/credit card, net banking, Paytm, or UPI. There is no offline option for paying fees. According to the chart below, the application price varies depending on the candidate's category:

The NTA will provide an application correction window to all the candidates who will fill out the application form. The CSIR NET application window 2026 will help the candidate to edit or rectify any mistakes that the candidate might have made while filling out the application form. The CSIR NET application correction window will open on June 22 and will remain active till June 23, 2026 upto 11:50 PM.

Applicants will have the option to change or alter areas, including name, parents' names, date of birth, contact information, category, and gender. Moreover, NTA informs candidates through email and SMS about form and appearance corrections.

This is the final opportunity to modify and improve the application form. No more requests will be granted. To make changes, candidates must upload supporting documentation and, if applicable, pay additional fees.
