CSIR NET Application Form 2024: Steps to Apply, Documents Required, Application Fees

CSIR NET Application December 2024: The National Testing Agency releases the application form for CSIR NET exam online at csirnet.nta.ac.in. Once the process of application is completed, the NTA will also open CSIR NET application correction window. The application correction window will help the candidate to make changes in the form if they have added any wrong information.

Meanwhile, candidates who have successfully filled the application form will be eligible to get their CSIR NET admit card. Only those candidates will be eligible to receive their hall tickets who have successfully paid the application fee along with the registration form online. 

Another important factor which candidates should keep in mind is that prior to filling the application form they should check CSIR NET eligibility. The CSIR NET eligibility is laid by the UGC and it is released while the CSIR NET official notification is released. If the candidate fulfils the eligibility criteria, then he or she can apply for the exam and if the candidate does not fulfil the eligibility, then they will not be allowed to apply for the examination.

CSIR NET application window for December 2024 exam is now closed. The application form was released by the NTA and is uploaded on the official webiste.

Candidates can visit the official homepage of CSIR NET to download the application. Further, the NTA provides an application correction window wherein aspirants can make changes in their application form if they enter any incorrect information. 

CSIR NET Application Form 2024 Eligibility

In order to register for CSIR NET December exam, candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility requirements: 

• Applicant must be a citizen of India. 
• Maximum age limit to apply is 28 years. However, candidates belonging to Third Gender, SC/ST/ Person with Disability (PwD) criteria will be allowed a relaxation of 5 years. Female candidates will also be allowed a relaxation of 5 years. Meanwhile, candidates belonging to OBC criteria will be allowed relaxation of 3 years. 

CSIR NET Application Form 2024: Steps to register 

Once the CSIR NET application form is released, candidates will be able to register online by following the given simple steps.

Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in 

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads 'Fill online application form' 

Step 3: Now candidates need to fill in their DOB, mobile number, mail ID contact details, name of their parents and other information as asked. 

Step 4: With this, candidates will receive a registration number and password on their registered mail ID or phone number 

Upload Necessary Documents 

Step 5: According to the latest official announcement made by CSIR NET, candidates do not need to provide any documents including the Category Certificate, the Result Awaited Attestation Form, and others while completing the online application. The application will be deemed incomplete without the scanned copy of the photo and signature, which must still be uploaded. Applicants must provide scanned copies of their passport-size photo and signature that adhere to the required standards.

Step 6: Now a new page will open which will consist of different columns which aspirants need to fill, this may include their name, mother's name, father's name, identity type, identification number, DOB, gender, address, city/town/village, email ID, landline number, locality, state or UT, mobile number, password, security questions, password confirmation and security answer. Once the candidate has filled the entire form, then he or she has to enter the captcha and click on submit. 

Submit CSIR NET Application Fee 2024

Applicants must pay the application fee online using the Syndicate/SBI/HDFC/ICICI bank portal using a debit/credit card, net banking, Paytm, or UPI. There is no offline option for paying fees. According to the chart below, the application price varies depending on the candidate's category:

CSIR NET Registration 2024: Application Correction Window 

The NTA will provide an application correction window to all the candidates who will fill the application form. The CSIR NET application window 2024  will help the candidate to edit or rectify any mistakes which the candidate might have done while filling the application form.

Applicants will have the option to change or alter areas including name, parents' names, date of birth, contact information, category, and gender. Moreover, NTA informs candidates through email and SMS about form and appearance correction.

This is the final opportunity to modify and improve the application form. No more requests will be granted. To make changes, candidates must upload supporting documentation and, if applicable, pay additional fees.
