FMGE Exam 2025: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the result of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) for December session 2025 on January 29, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the December session exam can now check and download their result from NBEMS official website - natboard.edu.in or nbe.edu.in. The FMGE 2025 examination was conducted on January 17, 2026 and the result for the same has been released in the PDF format. The FMGE 2025 December result contains important candidate details such as the  roll number, marks obtained and qualifying status of the applicants. 

The FMGE 2025 December result is decalred as a pass/fail report and candidates who qualifies the FMGE 2025 examination is eligible to secure permanent or provisional registration with the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council. Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is a screening test for Indian citizens who hold a medical qualification from abroad and plan to practise medicine in India. Medical Graduates aspiring to get provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council can appear for the FMGE exam. The FMGE exam is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) twice a year.

To appear for the examination, candidates are required to fill out the FMGE application form. Only the candidates who register for the FMGE exam will be eligible to download their FMGE admit card. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The FMGE admit card and a valid photo identity proof issued by the government are the two compulsory documents required for entry to the examination centre.  

FMGE Exam 2025

Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), a licensure exam, is conducted for candidates who hold medical degrees from another country and are aspiring to practise medicine in India. Medical graduates with a medical qualification from a foreign country must clear the FMGE exam to register themselves with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council.

The FMGE exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of 300 objective-type (multiple-choice) questions. There are no marks deducted for incorrect responses in the FMGE exam. Candidates need to score a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 marks to clear the exam. FMGE is a qualifying examination, and candidates who have qualified for the exam cannot take the exam again.

FMGE Eligibility 2025

• Candidates should be Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India. 
• Candidate needs to hold a primary medical qualification that has been confirmed by the respective Indian Embassy. 

FMGE Application Form 2025

Filling out the FMGE application form is the first step towards appearing for the FMGE examination. Candidates can check the steps to fill out the online application form given below : 

• Step 1: (New User Registration): Create your online profile to generate a User ID and Password
• Step 2: (Applicant Login): Login as an applicant using the User ID and Password, and use the ‘go to application’ link
• Step 3: Fill in all the required fields in the application form
• Step 4: Make any necessary corrections once the preview of the application form is displayed
• Step 5: Submit the application form and pay the application fee

FMGE Admit Card 2025

FMGE Admit Card is issued to eligible candidates after they have registered for the exam. Candidates will be notified through SMS/Email and an official website notice regarding the release of admit cards on the NBEMS website. The admit card will not be sent by post or email. Candidates must carry the admit card and a valid photo identification proof to the test centre. 

Candidates need to download the FMGE admit card from the NBEMS official website and affix their latest passport-size photograph (not more than 3 months old) in the space provided on the admit card. Candidates need to check the details printed on the admit card carefully and ensure the accuracy of the information given on the admit card. 

FMGE Exam Pattern 2025

• The FMGE exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
• The exam consists of 300 multiple-choice questions. 
• There are 4 response options given for each question in the English language only.
• Candidates need to select one correct response from the 4 options given.
• The exam is delivered in two parts, with each part consisting of 150 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes. 
• There is no negative marking in the exam.

FMGE Result 2025

The FMGE result 2025 for December session has been released on the official website of NBEMS on January 29, 2026. Candidates can download the scorecard from the official website using their login credentials. In case of any discrepancy found in the scorecard, candidates should report it to the authorities immediately.
