CUET Exam 2025: The National Testing Agency is set to release the exam calendar for CUET UG 2025 on its official website. Aspirants preparing for UG admission will be able to check the CUET exam dates 2025 once released on the NTA official website. Through CUET exam, students are eligible to take admission to various central universities across India. Some of the top universities that accept CUET score are Aligarh Muslim University, Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Millia Islamia, JNU, and various others.
Candidates aspiring for admission to undergraduate programs next year must be aware of the CUET syllabus and exam pattern. What is CUET 2025?
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an examination conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to undergraduate programs at different central universities and other institutions. It must be noted that there is a separate examination conducted, called CUET PG, for admission to postgraduate programs. CUET UG exam date May 2025 (tentative). The CUET application form 2025 will be released soon by NTA at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

- The University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced significant changes to the CUET UG exam for 2025. Students can now appear for a maximum of five subjects, reduced from the earlier limit of six. Additionally, the total number of subjects has been brought down from 63 to 37. Admissions for these 37 subjects will be based on the General Aptitude Test.
- A notable update is the flexibility granted to students in selecting their subjects. They can now opt for a subject even if they haven’t studied it during Class 12. Furthermore, the exam duration has been standardized to 60 minutes for all subjects, replacing the previous variation of 45 to 60 minutes. Lastly, the option of skipping questions has been eliminated, and all questions will now be mandatory.

CUET Eligibility 2025
Candidates wishing to appear for the CUET UG 2025 exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the National Testing Agency. The eligibility requirement to appear for the exam involves nationality, age limit, and educational qualifications. Interested students can check the eligibility criteria for the exam below:
- Aspiring candidates must have passed 10+2/equivalent examination or appearing in 2025.
- As per the official notification, "Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination."
- There is no age limit to appear for the CUET exam.
- The number of attempts a candidate may take is unrestricted. Candidates may appear for the exam as many times as desired as long as they meet all other qualifying conditions.
