CAT Admit Card 2026: IIM Indore will release the CAT admit card this year. The examination authority will upload the CAT 2026 admit card on the official website for candidates who register for the exam.

CAT Admit Card 2026 - The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore, will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 exam. The examination authority will release the CAT 2026 admit card on November 04, 2026,a few days before the exam date on the official website. The CAT 2026 Notification has been released by the conducting body on July 26, 2026.

The admit card will only be released for those applicants who register for the CAT exam 2026 once the registration process starts. Candidates will be able to download their hall ticket using the application number, password, and other login details once released by the examination authority. Once the hall tickets are out, applicants are advised to carefully review the details mentioned on the hall ticket. The instructions must be read carefully by aspirants to avoid inconvenience during the exam.

As per the instructions and guidelines released by the IIMs, it is mandatory to carry the admit card for the CAT exam 2026. No student will be allowed in the examination hall without a hard copy of the hall ticket. The admit card contains important information such as the name of the candidate, photograph, roll number, and the details of the examination centre. CAT Admit Card 2026: Steps to Download

Candidates who register for the exam will be able to download the CAT 2026 Admit Card from the official website by using the given steps: 

  • Visit the official CAT 2026 website
  • Click on 'Login' 
  • Enter the registration ID and password
  • After successfully logging in to the CAT Admit Card 2026 download portal, click on the 'admit card' link.
  • Click on download and save the admit card for future use.
  • Take a printout of the admit card for exam day and future references.

Various issues can arise in downloading the CAT Admit Card. Candidates aspiring to appear for the exam must know about the issues/discrepancies along with the resolution for downloading the CAT Admit Card 2026: 

Unavailability of CAT Admit Card Download: 

  • Slow internet speed: You may not be able to download your admit card due to a slow internet connection. In that case, move to a different connection for downloading your admit card.
  • Technical issue on the official website: A technological issue with the CAT 2026 website could arise for any reason, including high usage. Do not attempt to register repeatedly in this situation. Log out, and after a while, return to the website to obtain your admission card.

Credentials Errors:

  • Credentials Errors: Candidates may contact the exam administration body with a copy of the application form and point out any mistakes that correlate to differences in the personal and scholastic information listed on the admit card.
  • Wrong password or login credentials: The exam's website has a "forgot password" option that candidates must use if they can't recall their registration information. They must then follow the directions to change their password and then use it to obtain their CAT admit card.

Once the candidates have downloaded the CAT Admit Card 2026, they must ensure that it contains the following information provided in the table below.  In case of an error, candidates can contact the examination authority for rectification of the error: 

Candidates are also required to carry documents along with the printout of their CAT hall ticket. The following are the documents they must carry to the examination centre: 

  • Valid ID proof (Voter ID Card/Aadhar Card/Driver License/Passport/PAN Card/Ration Card)
  • 2-3 Passport-size photographs

  • Candidates are required to carry at least two copies of the CAT 2026 admit card along with a valid ID proof.
  • Only the CAT 2026 admit card and photo ID card will be allowed inside the exam hall.
  • For rough work, candidates will be provided with a writing pad and pen, which need to be returned after the test. Candidates will have to write their name and registration number on the writing pad.
  • Candidates are required to reach the exam centre at the reporting time mentioned in their CAT 2026 admit cards.
  • Candidates are required to sign the CAT admit card 2026 only inside the exam hall and in the presence of the invigilator.
  • Candidates must paste the same photo as the one uploaded in the CAT application form.
  • Mobile phone, calculator, iPad or any other electronic gadget is prohibited inside the examination centre

There are various dos and don'ts that candidates must adhere to if they are appearing for the CAT exam 2026:

  • Latecomers will not be allowed in the examination hall as per the instructions mentioned in the CAT admit card. The last entry permitted in the examination is 15 minutes before the scheduled examination time.
  • It is essential to carefully review and follow the guidelines for biometric attendance, seating selection, and other CAT exam day procedures ahead of the exam day.
  • Carry all documents to the examination hall, including the printout of the CAT admit card. Upon any document or identity proof being missing, the candidate will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. 

As per the CAT official document, CAT is conducted in numerous test centres spread across around 150 test cities. Candidates are given the option to select any six test cities in order of their preference.

The CAT admit card contains the Google map link of the exam centre allotted to the candidate. This allows aspirants to easily locate the test centre venue without wasting their time on the actual examination day. Here are the steps to use the Google link provided on the hall ticket:
