CSIR NET 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the December exam dates for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) on its official website. The NTA conducts the CSIR NET exam every year in online mode. The test aims to identify candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor programmes, and assess their qualifications for teaching roles in Indian educational institutions. 

To appear for the exam, candidates must have registered themselves using the CSIR NET application form. However, before that, candidates must check the CSIR NET eligibility laid out by UGC. Only those candidates who have successfully filled out the application will be eligible to download their admit cards. CSIR NET December 2025 Notification Out

The National Testing Agency will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2025 exam. This test checks eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor roles, and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges. Check the official notification here.

The application period dates from September 25 to October 24, 2025 (until 11:50 PM). Read the Information Bulletin carefully before applying, and stay updated by visiting the NTA/CSIR NET websites regularly.

CSIR NET Eligibility 2025

Before filling out the application form, candidates first need to check the CSIR NET eligibility criteria for the exam. CSIR NET Application Form 2025

The second step towards appearing for the CSIR NET exam is to fill out the CSIR NET application form 2025. The application form is available on the official website, and the application process is online. Since the official notification regarding the examination has already been released, the application form dates have also been announced. The CSIR NET registration window for the December 2025 exam is open from September 25 to October 24, 2025. 

Application Fees for CSIR NET 2025 

Once candidates have filled out the application form, they are required to pay the described application fees to complete the process. However, candidates must note that the application fees are different for candidates belonging to different categories. CSIR NET Admit Card 2025

Once the candidate has successfully filled out the application form, they are eligible to get their hall tickets. The NTA releases the CSIR NET admit card on the official website.  The National Testing Agency releases the CSIR NET admit card on the official website. Candidates must know that the admit card will be issued to the candidate provisionally, and the document is subject to satisfying the eligibility conditions.

In order to download the admit card, candidates need to visit the CSIR NET login and use their valid registration number and password, which they will receive at the time of registration. Since the CSIR NET admit card is an essential document, candidates need to bring it to the exam centre, or else they will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. 

CSIR NET Syllabus 2025

The CSIR NET syllabus is laid out by the CSIR-HRDG (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research's Human Resource Development Group). The syllabus is released on the official website, and candidates are required to check the official notification as the syllabus will be mentioned in it.  Candidates must know that there are 5 subjects in the CSIR NET syllabus, including chemical sciences, earth atmospheric, ocean and planetary sciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences and physical sciences. Further, the syllabus is bifurcated into 3 parts, such as Part A, B and C, and all three parts will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions.

CSIR NET Exam Pattern 2025

The CSIR NET exam pattern 2025 is released by the National Testing Agency. The CSIR NET exam pattern is released along with the official notification. The main aim of the exam pattern is to shed light on topics such as the duration of the examination, total marks, total questions, and other information. 

Candidates must note that, as per the CSIR NET exam pattern, the examination will be held in the CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode, and the duration of the examination will be three hours. The exam pattern will consist of MCQ format questions, and there will be a total of 120 questions, and each question will carry 2 marks. This makes the CSIR NET 2025 total mark 200.

CSIR NET Result 2025

Usually, the CSIR NET result 2025 is released about a month after the commencement of the examination. Before releasing the result, the NTA releases the CSIR NET provisional answer key. There are two types of answer keys. While the first one is the CSIR NET 2025 provisional answer key, which allows candidates to raise objections, the second answer key is the CSIR NET 2025 final answer key, which helps the candidates to calculate scores in the examination. 

The CSIR NET result 2025 will be released on the official website in PDF form. In order to check the result, candidates need to enter their roll number, date of birth, and the captcha code. 

CSIR NET Cut Off 2025

The CSIR NET cutoff is released by the National Testing Agency along with the declaration of result.  The CSIR NET cut-off 2025 refers to the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score in order to qualify for the examination. NTA releases CSIR NET 2025 subject-wise cut-off. Apart from being subject-wise cut-off, the cut-off will also vary for students who belong to different categories.

Candidates who ace the JRF test will be ranked in a merit list and then allotted between CSIR and UGC in the ratio of a bunch of fellowships that are provided between these two for specific subjects. In addition, a merit list will be created depending on the candidate's performance. With the help of the CSIR NET cut-off, candidates will be able to check whether they have qualified for the examination or not.

CSIR NET 2025 Certificate Validity

Once the candidate has cleared the CSIR NET examination, they will get the CSIR NET certificate. The validity of the CSIR NET certificate is set by CSIR-HRDG for 2 years. This means candidates can utilise the CSIR NET certificate for 2 years.
