Candidates can download their admit cards by logging in with their application number and date of birth. The National Testing Agency (NTA) earlier released the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) 2026 City Intimation Slip on July 8, 2026. The link to download the exam city slip was made active on the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in. Only those who successfully registered for the CSIR NET 2026 exam were able to check and download the exam city slip. The CSIR NET 2026 City Intimation Slip mentions the exam city allotted to the candidate, so that they can make their travel arrangement in advance. CSIR NET June 2026 Notification Out

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 notification on May 27, 2026, on the official website. This test checks eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor roles, and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges. Check the official notification here.

Application Fees for CSIR NET 2026

Once candidates have filled out the application form, they are required to pay the described application fees to complete the process. In order to download the admit card, candidates need to visit the CSIR NET login and use their valid registration number and password, which they will receive at the time of registration. The CSIR NET syllabus is laid out by the CSIR-HRDG (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research's Human Resource Development Group). The syllabus is released on the official website, and candidates are required to check the official notification as the syllabus will be mentioned in it.  Candidates must know that there are 5 subjects in the CSIR NET syllabus, including chemical sciences, earth, atmospheric, ocean and planetary sciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences and physical sciences. Further, the syllabus is bifurcated into 3 parts, such as Part A, B and C, and all three parts will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions.

The CSIR NET exam pattern 2026 has been released by the National Testing Agency. The CSIR NET exam pattern is released along with the official notification. The main aim of the exam pattern is to shed light on topics such as the duration of the examination, total marks, total questions, and other information. 

Candidates must note that, as per the CSIR NET exam pattern, the examination will be held in the CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode, and the duration of the examination will be three hours. The exam pattern will consist of MCQ format questions, and there will be a total of 120 questions, and each question will carry 2 marks. This makes the CSIR NET 2026 total marks 200.

Usually, the CSIR NET result 2026 is released about a month after the commencement of the examination. Before releasing the result, the NTA releases the CSIR NET provisional answer key. There are two types of answer keys. While the first one is the CSIR NET 2026 provisional answer key, which allows candidates to raise objections, the second answer key is the CSIR NET 2026 final answer key, which helps the candidates to calculate scores in the examination.
