JEE Advanced Result 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the JEE Advanced results 2026 along with the final answer key on June 1, 2026, at jeeadv.ac.in. This year, Shubham Kumar from IIT Delhi zone secured AIR 1. Aarohi Deshpande with AIR 77 is the female topper in JEE Advanced Results 2026. The JEE Advanced provisional answer key was released on May 25, 2026. The institute has released the complete schedule on the official website. The result is released in the form of a scorecard. The JEE Advanced scorecard contains details like the Common Rank List (CRL), score in each subject, and total score obtained by candidates in Paper I & Paper II. The scorecard also includes All India  Rank (AIR).

After the result is announced, candidates who will secure a rank will be called for the JoSAA counselling. The JEE Advanced Cutoff 2026 is released after the declaration of the result. The JEE Advanced rank list is prepared based on the total marks obtained by candidates in Paper 1 & Paper 2. Hence, to keep themselves above in the rank list, candidates must have a higher aggregate score. The All India Rank list is released category-wise and will be available on the official portal of JEE Advanced 2026. The rank list is released after the declaration of the JEE Advanced results.

In case two or more candidates have equal aggregate marks, then the following JEE Advanced tie-breaking policy will be implemented to decide the rank of the candidate:

  • Candidates who have higher positive marks will be allotted a higher rank. The positive marks mean marks without deducting negative marking.
  • If a tie still exists, then candidates with higher scores in Mathematics will be allotted a higher rank.
  • If the tie persists, candidates with higher scores in Physics will be allotted a higher rank.
  • Candidates will be allotted the same rank if the above three criteria fail to break the tie.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the JoSAA counselling 2026 for final admission to different engineering courses. Candidates who qualify for the JEE Advanced examination are required to fill in their choices and participate in the seat allocation process by JoSAA.
