CAT 2023 Registration (Closed): Dates, Fees, Steps to Apply

CAT registration 2023 has been started by IIM Lucknow on August 02, 2023. Students preparing for the exam must fulfil the CAT eligibility criteria 2023 in order to apply for the exam. Candidates while filling out the application form are also required to pay a CAT application fee of INR 2400/-. The application process for CAT 2023 is now over. Students who registered for the exam can edit their applications through CAT application correction window till September 28, 2023.

CAT Registration 2023: The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level MBA entrance examination held each year for admission to MBA/PGP courses at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other CAT-accepting B-schools in India. To apply for the CAT 2023, candidates must first register themselves and complete the application process to appear for the examination. The application process will start on August 02, 2023. 

Candidates must note that the application form must be filled out correctly. Only those applications which are correctly filled out will be accepted by the conducting body. Students will receive the CAT admit card 2023 at least 10-15 days before the scheduled examination date. The CAT 2023 exam will be conducted on November 26, 2023.

Every year over 2 lakh candidates register themselves for the CAT examination, seeking admission to approx 5000 seats in IIMs and IITs. CAT scores are accepted by over 200 B-schools in India. Scores secured by Candidates in the CAT exam are valid for 1 year.

CAT 2023 Application: Highlights

• Registration for the CAT Exam will start on August 02, 2023.
• The CAT 2023 application form will be closed in September 13, 2023
• Candidates in the general category must have 50% aggregate marks in their graduation. Meanwhile, for SC/ST/PWD applicants the minimum percentage marks that are required is 45%.
• Students in their final year are also eligible to apply for the CAT 2023 exam.
• General category students are required to pay an application fee of Rs 2400 to successfully fill out the CAT application form. Students from SC/ST/OBC category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1200.

How to fill the CAT 2023 Application Form?

Candidates are advised to follow the steps outlined below to complete the application process, from registration to payment. 

CAT Registration 2023: Steps to Apply

Step 1: Candidates must first visit the CAT 2023 official website@iimcat.ac.in.

Step 2: Next, on the right side of the CAT 2023 official website, click the "New Candidate Registration" button.

Step 3: It will take the applicant to the "CAT 2023 registration" page. Candidates will be required to enter the following personal information, which includes: 

• Name of the Candidate
• Date of Birth
• Email Address
• Country
• Mobile Number and
• Captcha

Step 4: After entering all of the required information, click the "Generate OTP" button. The OTP will be delivered to the applicant's registered email address. Candidates must complete the CAT 2023 registration process by using the OTP.

Step 5: After successfully registering for the CAT examination, log in to the candidate's dashboard and fill out the CAT Exam Application Form 2023 with the necessary information, such as:

• Personal Information
• Address for Communication
• Contact Information in Case of Emergency
• Documents should be uploaded (in a prescribed format and size)

Step 6: Enter your academic/ qualification information for SSC/Class 10, HSC/Class 12, Bachelor's Degree Details, Master's Degree Details, and Other Professional Degree Details.

Step 7: After completing the preceding steps, applicants must enter any work experience details.

Step 8: Enter any additional personal information, communication information, and emergency contact information, and upload all required documents in the prescribed format.

Step 9: Next, choose your work experience (if any), IIM programmes, and interview locations. Select up to six preferred CAT 2023 test cities.

Step 10: The final step in the CAT 2023 application process is to pay the application fee, which must be done online. The following are the application fee details for the CAT 2023 exam:

• Candidates from the General Category: Rs 2300/- 
• Candidates from the SC/ ST/ PWD: Rs 1150/-

Mistakes to avoid during CAT 2023 Application Form 

1. After submitting the CAT 2023 form, candidates can't make changes to their personal information, such as:

• Candidates Name
• Date of Birth of the Candidate (DOB)
• Mobile Phone Number 
• Email Address

1. If they enter incorrect information, they must re-register with a new email address.
2. In such a case, the information entered in the most recent CAT exam registration 2023 will be considered. For that, a CAT Admit Card 2023 will be issued.
3. In such cases, failure to re-register may result in the cancellation of the candidature.
