CAT Registration 2025: IIM CAT Application Form, Fees, Steps to Apply

CAT Registration 2025: The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level MBA entrance examination held each year for admission to MBA/PGP courses at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other CAT-accepting B-schools in India. The exam body has announced the CAT exam date 2025 on its official website. To apply for CAT 2025, candidates must first register themselves at iimcat.ac.in. The application process started on  August 1, 2025. The last date to apply for the CAT exam 2025 was extended till September 20, 2025.  

Candidates must note that the CAT application form 2025 must be filled out correctly. Only those applications that are correctly filled out will be accepted by the conducting body. Students will receive the CAT admit card 2025 at least 10-15 days before the scheduled examination date. The CAT 2025 exam will be conducted in November 2025.

Candidates are advised to follow the steps outlined below to complete the application process, from registration to payment.

Step 1: Candidates must first visit the CAT 2025 official website: iimcat.ac.in.

Step 2: Next, on the right side of the CAT 2025 official website, click the "New Candidate Registration" button.

Step 3: It will take the applicant to the "CAT 2025 registration" page. Candidates will be required to enter the following personal information, which includes: 

• Name of the Candidate
• Date of Birth
• Email Address
• Country
• Mobile Number and
• Captcha

Step 4: After entering all of the required information, click the "Generate OTP" button. The OTP will be delivered to the applicant's registered email address. Candidates must complete the CAT 2025 registration process by using the OTP.

Step 5: After successfully registering for the CAT examination, log in to the candidate's dashboard and fill out the CAT Exam Application Form 2025 with the necessary information, such as:

• Personal Information
• Address for Communication
• Contact Information in Case of Emergency
• Documents should be uploaded (in a prescribed format and size)

Step 6: Enter your academic/ qualification information for SSC/Class 10, HSC/Class 12, Bachelor's Degree Details, Master's Degree Details, and Other Professional Degree Details.

Step 7: After completing the preceding steps, applicants must enter any work experience details.

Step 8: Enter any additional personal information, communication information, and emergency contact information, and upload all required documents in the prescribed format.

Step 9: Next, choose your work experience (if any), IIM programmes, and interview locations. Select up to six preferred CAT 2024 test cities.

Step 10: The final step in the CAT 2025 application process is to pay the application fee, which must be done online. The following are the application fee details for the CAT 2025 exam:

• Candidates from the General Category: Rs 2400/- 
• Candidates from the SC/ ST/ PWD: Rs 1200/-

Mistakes to Avoid During CAT Application Form 2025

• After submitting the CAT 2025 form, candidates can't make changes to their personal information, such as:
  • Candidate's Name
  • Date of Birth of the Candidate (DOB)
  • Mobile Phone Number 
  • Email Address
• If they enter incorrect information, they must re-register with a new email address.
• In such a case, the information entered in the most recent CAT exam registration 2025 will be considered. For that, a CAT Admit Card 2025 will be issued.
• In such cases, failure to re-register may result in the cancellation of the candidature.
