CUET PG Exam 2024: Registration, Fees, Syllabus, Pattern, Scorecard, Counselling, Cut off

CUET PG Exam 2024  was successfully conducted from March 11, 2024 to March 28, 2024. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has  released the CUET PG result 2024 along with the final answer key at the official website - pgcuet.samarth.ac.in after considering the challenges submitted by the candidates. NTA had released the provisional answer key earlier along with the individual response sheet of the candidates.

The final CUET PG answer key can be downloaded through the official website in the PDF format. Students must note that the CUET PG 2024 result will be published on the basis of the final answer key. The CUET PG results are expected soon. However, the official date for results have not been confirmed as of now. 

CUET PG 2024 - Highlights

• NTA released the CUET PG result 2024 on April 13, 2024. The result can be checked by candidates using their application number and password.
• NTA releases final CUET PG 2024 answer key on April 12, 2024. 
• CUET PG 2024 answer key released by the NTA on April 5, 2024. The objection window was closed on April 7, 2024.
• The CUET PG exam 2024 is conducted for admission to postgraduate programs in different central universities and other participating colleges.
• As per the CUET PG exam pattern, there will be 100 questions in the paper divided into two parts: Part A & Part B. Part A includes questions from General Awareness/General Knowledge, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Ability, and Logical Reasoning, while Part B includes questions from Domain Specific subject.
• The duration of the CUET PG exam is 105 minutes and the medium of language is English & Hindi except for language papers.
• Each question in the CUET PG exam 2024 carries 4 marks. There is also a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect response. Students preparing for the exam must also practise CUET PG previous question papers to get an idea of the exam structure and types of questions asked in the exam.
• CUET PG score now will be considered for admission to the Tata Institute of Social Science for all PG programs. The institute has withdrawn the TISSNET exam from the academic year 2024-25.

What is CUET PG Exam 2024?

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency for students who wish to take admission to postgraduate courses at different Central Universities and other participating colleges. The CUET PG exam selection process includes the online written examination along with the counselling round. The CUET PG counselling is conducted by participating institutes for candidates who pass the online written examination. A total of 142 universities participated in the CUET PG exam last year. CUET PG Eligibility Criteria 2024

The CUET PG Eligibility Criteria is released by NTA on the official website. The basic eligibility to apply for CUET PG is a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Candidates must be graduated from a recognised institute or university. They should have a minimum percentage of marks as required by the institute. It must be noted that for final admission, candidate must fulfil the eligibility criteria required by respective CUET PG participating colleges.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the CUET PG application process on its official website. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form on the official website of NTA. The CUET PG registration process is online. Candidates have to fill out the CUET PG application form with the correct personal and educational details to successfully register for the exam. 

CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024

• Candidates may select a maximum of four question paper codes.
• There will be no General Test accompanying each paper.
• Candidates can opt for General paper as a subject, with the comprehension part being in either English or Hindi, as selected during registration.
• The exam duration is 105 minutes.
• The question paper will consist of 75 questions.
• Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Language papers will be in the respective languages, except for Linguistics, which will be in English.
• M.Tech/Higher Sciences papers will be in English only.
• Acharya Papers will be in Sanskrit, except for Hindu Studies, Indian Knowledge System, and Baudha Darshan.
• Humanities, Sciences, and Common papers will be bilingual, available in both English and Hindi.
• The examination will be conducted in three shifts.
• The English version of the questions in the question papers, excluding languages and Acharya papers, will be considered final.

CUET PG Marking Scheme 2024

• Each question carries 4 marks.
• A correct response earns the candidate 4 marks.
• For each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score.
• Unanswered or unattempted responses will receive no marks.
• To answer a question, the candidate must select one option as the correct choice.
• Following the challenge process of the Answer Key, if there are multiple correct options or a change in the key, only candidates who answered correctly according to the revised Final Answer Key will be awarded marks.
• If a question is dropped due to a technical error, full marks will be given to all candidates, regardless of whether they attempted it or not.

CUET PG Result 2024

CUET PG Cut Off 2024

CUET PG Cut off is released separately by each participating college. Candidates must clear the cut off for the college they want to take admission in. CUET PG DU Cut off for PG courses remains around 250-280 marks depending upon the course and the category of the candidate. The MA, M.Sc, and M.Com programs at the top colleges of Delhi University (DU) are anticipated to have a competitive cutoff range of 250-280 marks out of a total of 400 marks. These colleges typically announce the minimum cutoff scores based on specific courses and categories.

CUET PG Counselling 2024

Eligibility for the CUET PG counselling 2024 is limited to applicants who successfully passed the online written exam. The CUET PG exam results have been publicly announced on the official NTA website. To participate in the counselling process, candidates must possess the required documents and submit them for verification. The document verification procedure will be conducted independently by the respective CUET PG Participating Institutes.
