IIT (ISM) Dhanbad B.Tech Admission 2024
IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers four-year undergraduate degrees in Engineering, including Mining, Civil, Electronics and Communication, and Computer Science. It also offers a five-year dual degree program in Applied Geology, Applied Geophysics, and Mathematics and Computing.
To be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam, candidates must score among the top 2,50,000 scorers in the B.E./B.Tech. paper of the JEE Main exam, regardless of their category. The top 2,50,000 candidates from each category will be selected based on their performance on the B.E./B.Tech. paper. Seats will be allocated to candidates from different categories based on the following percentages: 10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 40.5% OPEN. Within each category, 5% of seats are reserved for PwD candidates.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Ph.D. Admission 2024
To pursue a doctoral degree in full-time mode at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, candidates must qualify for the institute's entrance tests and then appear for an interview. However, candidates who have already qualified for any of the GATE/UGC/DST/CSIR-NET exams are exempt from the institute's entrance tests and only need to appear for an interview.
On the other hand, management students must have a valid CAT/GMAT score and then appear for an interview.
IIT (ISM) Dhanbad also allows its M.Sc. Tech. and M.Sc. students to apply for Ph.D. programs directly. To be eligible, students must be in the top 20% of their class, with a CGPA of 8.5 or higher.
