JEE Advanced Exam 2025 - IIT Kanpur will conduct the JEE Advanced 2025 exam on May 18, 2025. The institute will release the JEE Advanced Admit Card on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in

JEE Advanced Exam dates 2025 has been announced by the authority. This year Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK) will be conducting the JEE Advanced exam on May 18, 2025 (Sunday). Further event dates for JEE Advanced registration, admit card, answer key and result has also been announced by the conducting body. As per the official notification, the JEE Advanced admit card will be released on May 12, 2025 only for those candidates who successfully submitted their application form. Candidates must clear the qualifying JEE Main Cut off 2025 for their respective category in order to appear for the JEE Advanced exam.

After the successful conclusion of the JEE Mains exam, the organizing institute released the JEE Advanced application form on the official website - jeeadv.ac.in. JEE Advanced registration started on April 23, 2025 and closed on May 2, 2025.  Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria were able to register for the exam. Students must have a minimum of 75% marks in their Class 12 in order to be eligible for admission to IITs (Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, Madras, Hyderabad, and more). However, reserved category students must have a minimum of 65% to fulfil the JEE Advanced eligibility criteria. Applicants can have a rank in the top 20 percentile of all successful candidates in order to apply for the exam. 

As per the JEE Advanced exam pattern 2025, there will be two papers: Paper I & Paper II. Candidates have to compulsorily appear for both paper I and II. Both papers will be conducted on the same day and their duration will be 3 hours each. The questions in both papers will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There will be different types of questions in the paper including Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), Paragraph Questions, and Numeric Questions. It is to be noted that the exam pattern for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam is subject to change every year which is upon the discretion of the exam conducting institute.

Earlier, IIT Guwahati revised the JEE Advanced syllabus and students are expected to study according to the amended curriculum. It's crucial that students study from NCERTs in order to cover the revised syllabus and have a thorough understanding of the exam. JEE Advanced Exam 2025

The JEE Advanced 2025 exam is conducted for those top 2,50,000 candidates who qualified the JEE Main exam and wish to take admission into engineering programmes offered by IITs. The exam is conducted by seven IITs on a rotational basis. These seven IITs are IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IIT Madras, and IIT Kanpur.

JEE Advanced 2025 Result

The JEE Advanced result will be released on June 2, 2025. Candidates who will receive a rank will be contacted for JoSAA counselling after the results are revealed. The result is made public as a scorecard. The JEE Advanced scorecard includes information like the Common Rank List (CRL), the applicants' individual subject-wise scores, and their combined marks from Papers I and II. All India Rank (AIR) will also be included on the scorecard.

The qualifying candidates are invited to the counselling phase after the release of the JEE Advanced results. The JEE seat allocation result will be made public following each round of counselling. The JEE Advanced cutoff will be released by the conducting body. The cutoff will be released for every category and contains the minimum marks in each subject and the minimum aggregate marks required by candidates to score. However, this will only be the qualifying cutoff for the exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility criteria on the official website. Aspirants are required to go through the detailed eligibility criteria to make sure they fulfil each one of them. The JEE Advanced admit card will be released only for those candidates who have successfully filled out the application form. The admit card will be available at least 10 days before the scheduled exam date. As per the official notification, the JEE Advanced admit card will be announced on May 12, 2025 and candidates will be allowed to download the admit card till May 18, 2025. It should be noted that an admit card is a mandatory document to carry to the examination centre, without an admit card no candidates will be permitted to appear in the exam.

JEE Advanced answer key 2024 will be released by IIT Kanpur at jeeadv.ac.in. Students who took the examination will be given the opportunity to challenge the answer key in case of any objection from their end. After all the objections raised by candidates are resolved, the final answer key will be released. Along with the final answer key, JEE Advanced results will also be released by the authority.
