JEE Advanced 2025 Exam - The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) in the year 2025. Aspirants who qualify the JEE Main exam will be eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam. To appear for the exam, students must clear the qualifying JEE Main Cut off 2025 for their respective category.
After the JEE Mains exam is concluded, the organizing institute will release the JEE Advanced application form on the official website - jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register for the exam. Students must have a minimum of 75% marks in their Class 12 in order to be eligible for admission to IITs (Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, Madras, Hyderabad, and more). However, reserved category students must have a minimum of 65% to fulfil the JEE Advanced eligibility criteria. Applicants can either have a rank in the top 20 percentile of all successful candidates in order to apply for the exam. JEE Advanced exam date 2025 has been released by IIT Kanpur. The exam will be conducted on May 18, 2025 (Sunday).
As per the JEE Advanced exam pattern 2025, there will be two papers: Paper I & Paper II. Candidates have to compulsorily appear for both paper I and II. Both papers will be conducted on the same day and their duration will be 3 hours each. The questions in both papers will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There will be different types of questions in the paper including Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), Paragraph Questions, and Numeric Questions. It is to be noted that the exam pattern for JEE Advanced 2025 exam is subject to change every year which is upon the discretion of the exam conducting institute.
Earlier, IIT Guwahati revised the JEE Advanced syllabus and students are expected to study according to the amended curriculum. JEE Advanced Exam 2025
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam is conducted for those top 2,50,000 candidates who qualified the JEE Main exam and wish to take admission into engineering programmes offered by IITs. The exam is conducted by seven IITs on a rotational basis. These seven IITs are IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IIT Madras, and IIT Kanpur.

The JEE Advanced result will be released tentatively in the second week of June 2025. Candidates who will receive a rank will be contacted for JoSAA counselling after the results are revealed. The result is made public as a scorecard. The JEE Advanced scorecard includes information like the Common Rank List (CRL), the applicants' individual subject-wise scores, and their combined marks from Papers I and II. All India Rank (AIR) will also be included on the scorecard.

JEE Advanced 2025 Cutoff
The JEE Advanced cutoff is released by the conducting body. The cutoff is released for every category and contains the minimum marks in each subject and the minimum aggregate marks required by candidates to score. However, this is only the qualifying cutoff for the exam. The JEE Advanced admission cutoff is released in the form of opening and closing ranks based on which colleges will be allotted to selected candidates.

The JEE Advanced admit card will be released only for those candidates who have successfully filled out the application form. The admit card will be available at least 10 days before the scheduled exam date. It should be noted that admit card is a mandatory document to carry to the examination centre, failing which candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.
