VITEEE 2026: Exam Date, Notification, Registration, Admit Card, Pattern, Syllabus

VITEEE Exam 2026: The VITEEE 2026 application process has now begun. Registrations started on October 24, 2025, and the tentative application deadline, as per the official VIT website is March 31, 2026. The exam will take place from April 28, 2026 to May 3, 2026, and the results will be announced in the second week of May, 2026. Online Counselling will also start in the second week of May, 2026. All official updates and details are now available on the official VIT website, viteee.vit.ac.in.

Since the VITEEE application forms 2026 will close on March 31, 2026, candidates who wish to secure admission to the B.Tech program at VIT College should apply accordingly, keeping this deadline in mind. Candidates appearing in the VITEEE exam 2026 will be able to access their result in May 2026 (Tentative), as mentioned in the official website.

The official information brochure contains comprehensive details on registration and exam dates, eligibility criteria, syllabus, pattern, and marking scheme. Students must know the VITEEE syllabus and pattern before appearing for the exam. VITEEE exam pattern 2026 is divided into two types/streams - MPCEA and BPCEA. VITEEE exam for MPCEA includes Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude, while BPCEA has Biology instead of Maths. The VITEEE Exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) consisting of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The test will have no negative marking, and the duration will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. The subjects tested are based on Class 11-12 NCERT standards.

What is VITEEE Exam 2026?

VITEEE exam is conducted for B.Tech admission to the Vellore Institute of Technology and its other campuses. The exam comprises multiple choice questions with one mark awarded for correct answers and zero for incorrect ones. The exam consists of 125 questions total, divided into the following sections: Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The entire question paper will be in English only.

VITEEE Notification 2026

The Vellore Institute of Technology released the VITEEE notification on October 24, 2025. Together with the release of the notification, the VITEEE application form was also released and made available online. The notification comprises of the VITEEE exam date, syllabus, pattern, marking scheme, steps to register, application fee, admit card details, exam day instructions and other key details.

VITEEE Registration 2026

Candidates who wish to appear for the VITEEE entrance exam can register through the official VITEEE website. The detailed information about the registration process is available on the VITEEE 2026 Application Form page. 

Only the candidates who fulfil the VITEEE eligibility criteria can apply for the entrance examination. To be eligible for VITEEE exam, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

The application fee for the General category candidates is INR 1,350 which has to be paid online (net banking, credit/debit card, Paytm). Whereas the NRI students are required to pay 90 USD online (credit card).

VITEEE Admit Card 2026

The VITEEE admit card is expected to be released in April 2026 by the examination conducting body. It will be released on VITEEE official website (viteee.vit.ac.in). Candidates will be able to download their admit card using their registered application number and password. The VITEEE 2026 Admit Card contains important information like the exam date, timing, venue, exam day instructions, and candidate details. Candidates must carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre.

VITEEE Cutoff 2026

The VITEEE cutoff informs about the minimum rank candidates need to secure in order to qualify for admission to their desired course and campus at the VIT group of institutions. It must be noted that the VITEEE Cutoff 2026 varies based on the programme, campus, and candidate’s category.

VITEEE Counselling 2026

Only candidates who meet the VITEEE cutoff will be eligible to participate in the VITEEE Counselling 2026. To gain admission to VIT through VITEEE, it is compulsory to register for the counselling process on the official VIT website. Only those who register can take part in the counselling rounds, where branch allotment is determined by rank, preferences, and seat availability.
