UPTET Exam 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) will release the UPTET City Intimation Slip 2026 on June 22, 2026, at the official website. Candidates who have registered for the upcoming UPTET Exam 2026 can download it, once released, online by entering the required login credentials. The UPTET City Intimation Slip 2026 will provide candidates with prior information about the city in which their exam centre will be situated. After the release of the City Intimation Slip, the authority will release the UPTET Admit Card 2026 on June 30, 2026.
The UPTET Exam 2026 will be conducted from July 2 to July 4, 2026, across the state of Uttar Pradesh to recruit eligible candidates for various teaching posts in government and government-funded schools across the state. The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is conducted in two levels. Candidates qualifying for the UPTET Level 1 will be eligible for teaching in Classes 1 to 5. Meanwhile, candidates who qualify for the UPTET level 2 will be recruited for the position of teachers in Classes 6 to 8. Candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8 must appear for both papers.
The commission had earlier started the registration portal for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 from March 27, 2026, to April 26, 2026. UPTET Admit Card 2026
The UPTET Admit Card 2026 will be released by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) on June 30, 2026, at the official website. Candidates will be able to download the UPTET Hall Ticket 2026 by logging in through their credentials. Only those applicants who have successfully registered for the UPTET exam 2026 will be eligible to access their admit card. To obtain the hall ticket, candidates must enter their registration number and password.

UPTET Syllabus 2026

UPTET Result 2026
The UPTET Result 2026 will be released by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) at the official website. In order to check the results, candidates will be required to log in using their registration number and the one-time password received. Candidates will be considered qualified for the exam if they achieve the minimum marks set by the educational body. The UPTET Result 2026 for paper 1 and paper 2 is released separately by the conducting body.
Since the UPTET result is an essential document, it consists of several important pieces of information about the candidate, including the candidate's name, DOB, candidate's category, date of result declaration and others. However, candidates must note that before the release of results, the education body will release the answer key.
UPTET Cut Off 2026
The UPTET Cutoff 2026 will be released after the completion of the exam and declaration of the result. The UPTET cut-off refers to the minimum qualifying marks set by the authorities that a candidate needs to score to qualify for the exam. Further, candidates should note that the cut-off will vary for candidates belonging to different categories. The UPTET cut-off 2026 will be released in the form of a PDF. UPTET Exam 2026 Certificate Validity
Once the candidate has qualified for the UPTET Exam 2026, he or she will be eligible to get the UPTET qualifying certificate. Earlier, the validity of the certificate was 5 years. However, after the announcement made by the former Minister of Education of India, Ramesh Pokhariyal, the validity of all the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) certificates has been extended to a lifetime. Candidates must know that the UPTET certificate does not guarantee a job to the candidate. However, it only makes them eligible to apply for the position of teacher in government schools in Uttar Pradesh.
The UPTET Application 2026 was released by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) online on March 27, 2026. UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2026
Before filling out the UPTET registration form 2026, aspirants were advised to mandatorily check the eligibility for the UPTET Exam 2026. Only those candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by the authorities can fill out the application form. All interested candidates can check the following points to know the UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2026.
- All the candidates applying must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks and be passed or in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks and be passed or in the final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed, or have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks and be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
- Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or Graduation with B.Ed (passed or in the final year) is also accepted.
As for the eligibility criteria for UPTET Paper 2 (Upper Primary Teacher) candidates needs to fulfil one of the eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in a one-year BEd
- Graduation with at least 45 per cent marks and a one-year BEd
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BElEd
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BA/ BScEd/ BAEd/ BScEd
