BITSAT Exam 2026: BITS Pilani has started the BITSAT Registration 2026 on its official website. The application form for the BITSAT 2026 Exam will be available till March 16, 2026. The session 1 exam will be conducted from April 15 to 17, 2026.

BITSAT 2026: The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, has officially started the registration process for BITSAT 2026 exam on its official portal. According to the latest update, BITSAT Application Form 2026 link has been activated from December 15 onwards. The last date for BITSAT Registration 2026 for session 1 and 2 is March 16, 2026. The BITSAT 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions, with Session-1 scheduled from April 15 to April 17, 2026, and Session-2 from May 24 to May 26, 2026. Candidates can decide whether they want to appear for one session or both. 

The BITSAT 2026 Application Form has been available on BITS Pilani's official website- admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. The complete schedule has been released by BITS Pilani along with the notification. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is conducted annually by BITS Pilani to select the candidates for BE admission. The BITSAT exam is conducted in two sessions. 

To be eligible for the BITSAT exam 2026, Candidates must have qualified 10+2 from a recognised board with physics, chemistry and mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam in 2025 are also eligible. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics or 75% in physics, chemistry and biology in the 10+2 exam to be eligible.

What is BITSAT 2026 exam?

BITSAT 2026 exam is conducted for B.Tech/B.Pharma admission to the Birla Institute of Technology and Science at Pilani Campus, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, and Hyderabad Campus. Below are the highlights of the BITSAT exam 2026: 

The BITSAT application process is conducted in online mode. The registration window for both session 1 and BITSAT session 2 will be available from December 15, onwards, at bitsadmission.com. Candidates can follow the steps below to know how to register for BITSAT 2026-

  • Go to the official website 
  • Candidates are required to choose the “BITSAT Registration” option 
  • Next, choose “Allow Me To Apply Online” after going through the provided instructions
  • Submit the asked details such as DOB, Name, Contact Details, etc
  • Students will need to enter their academic details and preferred program after the application form appears
  • They will be asked to select any 3 preferred exam centre locations
  • Select the “Confirm and Submit Details” option after cross-checking the provided information
  • Upload the required documents
  • The last step would be to pay the BITSAT exam fee

BITSAT 2026 Registration: Fee Structure and Scholarships

The exam fee can be paid by: Net Banking, UPI, Debit, and Credit cards. Moreover, the students at BITS Pilani have access to a vast number of scholarships, fellowships, and other forms of financial aid.

The BITSAT fee is non-refundable and it will not be refunded to applicants under any circumstances. Following is the detailed fee structure-

Note: A candidate must pay an additional amount of Rs. 2000 (Male) and Rs. 1500 (Female) if they decide to apply separately to appear in Session 2 after choosing to appear solely in Session 1.

BITSAT Application Form Correction 2026

The BITSAT form correction period provides applicants with an opportunity to review and make necessary modifications to their submitted application forms. During the form correction period, applicants can edit various details such as personal information, educational qualifications, exam centres, and other relevant fields. BITSAT 2026 form correction window will open after the application process is concluded. The official dates are yet to be announced.

Only the candidates taking the 12th board exam in 2026 or those who have passed the 12th exam in 2025 are eligible for BITSAT 2026. This means students who have given the 12th exam before 2025 will not be considered eligible. Students must meet the eligibility requirements listed by the exam conducting body as failing to meet these listed conditions will result in disqualification. Note: The submitted 12th class mark sheet should be from a school accredited or recognized by the central or state board with PCM and PCB as the chosen subjects. Basic command of the English Language is also necessary. Moreover, for courses except for B.Pharm, only PCM will be accepted, whereas for B.Pharm, both PCM and PCB will be accepted. 

As per the admission policy of BITS Pilani, the first rank students of State and Central boards in India for the year 2026 will be given direct admission to the programme of their choice. Irrespective of the scores obtained by students in the BITSAT 2026 exam, they will be directly admitted to the institute as per their eligibility criteria if they have topped the state or central board. For direct admission, the detailed eligibility criteria, application procedure, and prescribed application form will be available tentatively by the third week of June, 2026 bitsadmission.com

BITS Pilani conducts the BITSAT 2026 slot booking process in online mode at bitsadmission.com. Candidates who wants to register will be able to book slot likely in May 2026. The slot booking process allow aspirants to choose their preferred BITSAT exam date, slot and centre. Only registered candidates can book a slot for the BITS admission test 2026. Applicants will need their important login details such as application number and password to access the BITSAT slot booking portal 2026. The BITSAT exam 2026 will be held in online CBT mode.

What happens if BITSAT registration ID gets misplaced?

One's application ID number could be lost or forgotten, which could result in difficulties and problems. Students are recommended to visit the official website in this case to reactivate their registration numbers. This can be done by going to the official website and selecting the "Forget Application Number" option after which they must provide the registered Email or number.  The registered mobile number or email address will receive a new Application ID.

Students wanting to pursue BITS' engineering programs will have to attempt questions in physics, chemistry, math, English, and logical reasoning. Whereas, candidates interested in pharmacy programs will need to answer questions in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, English, and Logical Reasoning. Both will get a total of 130 questions which would have to be solved within 3 hours. Applicants who finish the paper in advance will get additional 12 bonus questions.

After the exam is over, candidates will be given their BITSAT answer key indicating the correct and incorrect answers. However, the official scorecard and result will not be released until a few days after the exam has been held. Each applicant will get a separate set of questions as they would be chosen from a vast question bank. Students have the liberty to attempt any section first according to their choice Moreover, they can also alter and edit their answers. Each correct answer will carry +3 marks and with every incorrect answer, -1 will be deducted.

BITSAT Section Wise Pattern 2026

BITSAT admit card is released by BITS Pilani a week before the exam date. The BITSAT admit card for (session 1) is likely to be released by the authority in May 2026. The admit card can be downloaded by candidates using their login credentials. Generally, the admit card is released 7-10 days before the scheduled exam date. 

Admit cards allow applicants to attempt the exam at a test centre, as without a valid admit card, entry would be denied. This document is provided to students by the exam authorities and it contains information regarding the exam centre venue, time slot, date, and test guidelines. For BITSAT, the admit card would be provided separately for both test sessions a few days before the conduct of the exam.  

The information on the BITSAT 2026 Admit Card must exactly match the information on the identification documents and documents used at the time of exam registration. That is why the hall ticket should be carefully read by students. Candidates would have to report discrepancies if the admit card includes any of the following errors:

  • Incorrect name
  • Incorrect contact details
  • Wrong chosen subjects
  • Wrong slot timing
  • Spelling errors
  • Incorrect date of birth
  • Incorrect position of the student's signature

The expected analysis of BITSAT 2026 test takers ranks in relation to their scores is provided below-

The BITSAT syllabus 2026 will be available for the reference of candidates. The official brochure and syllabus cover topics and subtopics in biology/mathematics, English, logical reasoning, physics, and chemistry. The 11th and 12th grade NCERT books for the same subjects would cover the majority of the curriculum. Physics is often considered the most challenging section and covers the maximum topics. It includes a total of 18 sub-topics from the areas of Optics, Units and Measurements, Impulse and Momentum, Kinematics, and Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, amongst others. 

BITSAT result for session 1 will be declared by the conducting body after session 1 is successfully concluded. Qualified candidates will be called for the counselling round. BITS Pilani also releases the merit list of candidates eligible for the counselling session. Following the Iteration round, the final merit list is released.

The BITSAT Iteration Result will be released on the official website separately for engineering and B.Pharm programmes. Candidates may check the result by entering their assigned login credentials. 

Students on the BITSAT waitlist will receive an update following each iteration. Only the merit list will be used to decide who gets in. However, there are a few instances where students who match the requirements for the same may be admitted directly.

During the BITSAT Counselling 2026 process, applicants who get admission would be allotted a seat after they get a documentation verification done. A one-time fee will be charged to selected students who are taking part in the counselling procedure. It costs INR 1000 to attend BITSAT counselling. It would be necessary to make the payment online using a debit/credit card or net banking.

BITSAT Admit List 2026

Candidates who will fall on the admit list will be those performing exceptionally well on the test. These shortlisted students will be the first ones to be called for the different iteration rounds of the counselling process.

BITSAT Wait List 2026

Candidates on the BITSAT 2026 Wait List will have to wait until the upcoming iteration round to discover whether they have been selected for BITS. In the event that there are any openings, these applicants will be contacted for counselling. This will happen in case some applicants drop out, leaving open seats for applicants on the waitlist to fill. 

The released cutoff will determine the minimum marks needed to get admission. This means the cutoff is the minimum score that students must acquire or exceed to get admitted into the target college. The exam for this year is tentatively scheduled to take place in May and June 2026, hence, the cutoff for the same should release soon after.
