Latest Updates: The BITSAT 2023 Counselling process is currently underway, with the first semester scheduled to start on August 11, 2023. Additionally, the BITSAT 2024 Application Form is expected to be made available in the fourth week of January 2024.

The BITSAT Iteration 3 results have been posted on the official website on 17th July 2023 for the reference of the students. Applicants may visit the website to access the latest assignment of admissions in offered programmes after BITSAT Iteration 3. Next, the BITSAT Iteration 4 results will be posted on 28th July 2023. 

The BITSAT direct admission to board toppers 2023 was started by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani. Top-ranking students in this year's board exams are able to apply for undergraduate (UG) admission through the direct admission option on the official website, bitsadmission.com. 15th July 2023 was the last date to apply through direct admissions. Further, the BITSAT Admit list and Wait list announcement after Iteration started on 1st July 2023. 

Candidates who qualified for the BITSAT Session 1 and 2 could apply for admission with the 12th Marks and Preferences of Programmes between June 02 and June 27th, 2023. The BITSAT final scorecard has been posted on the official website on 24th June 2023.

BITSAT session 2 2023 has been successfully conducted from 18th June to 22nd June 2023. Further, the BITSAT session 2 result was declared on 24th June 2023. The BITSAT Session 1 result 2023 has been released on 29th May 2023

BITSAT 2023: Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test, also commonly referred to as the BITSAT exam, is annually conducted by BITS Pilani. The BITSAT 2023 session 2 has recently been conducted between 18th June to 22nd June 2023. Earlier, BITSAT session 1 was administered from 21st May to 26th May 2023. Applicants may check the BITSAT final scorecard 2023 on the official website of the conducting body. Shortlisted students will be given admission into the B.E, B.Pharm, and MSc programs in one of the BITS campuses.

The course and campus would be prescribed according to one’s rank and score on BITSAT 2023. About 3 lakh applicants, especially those planning to pursue engineering, attempt the exam yearly as BITS Pilani is a renowned private university known to provide quality education. For the year 2023, the application and slot booking has been completed for both sessions.

The application process had begun on 31st January 2023, and the deadline to apply online for BITSAT-2023 for one Session or both Sessions was 9th April 2023. However, the application window was reopened from 22nd May to 12th June 2023 to only apply for BITSAT-2023 Session 2. Note that the first session must be attended in order to qualify for the BITSAT session 2, hence applicants cannot directly attempt the second session. The BITSAT session 1 and 2 process has been successfully concluded and now, shortlisted candidates may participate in BITSAT counselling.

BITSAT Eligibility 2023

Only the candidates taking the 12th board exam in 2023 or those having passed the 12th exam in 2022 are eligible for BITSAT 2023. This means students who have given the 12th exam before 2022 will not be considered eligible. It is essential that students meet the eligibility requirements listed by the exam conducting body as failing to meet these listed conditions will result in disqualification. It is necessary that applicants proclaim the minimum aggregated marks for each course. Read on the understand the criteria for different courses.

Note: The submitted 12th class mark sheet should be from a school accredited or recognized by the central or state board with PCM and PCB as the chosen subjects. Basic command of the English Language is also necessary. Moreover, for courses except for B.Pharm, only PCM will be accepted whereas for B.Pharm both PCM and PCB will be accepted.

BITSAT Registration 2023

As stated above, the BITSAT Application process has been concluded for the year 2023. The registration process has been concluded for both session 1 and BITSAT session 2. These steps were to be followed to successfully register for BITSAT 2023-

  1. Visit the official website 
  2. Candidates are required to choose the “BITSAT Registration” option 
  3. Next, choose “Allow Me To Apply Online” after going through the provided instructions
  4. Submit the asked details such as DOB, Name, Contact Details, etc
  5. Students will need to enter their academic details and preferred program after the application form appears
  6. They will be asked to select any 3 preferred exam centre locations
  7. Select the “Confirm and Submit Details” option after cross-checking the provided information
  8. Upload the asked documents
  9. The last step would be to pay the BITSAT exam fee

Note: A candidate must pay an additional amount of Rs. 2000 (Male) and Rs. 1500 (Female) if they decide to apply separately to appear in Session 2 after choosing to appear solely in Session 1.

BITSAT Form Correction Period 2023

The BITSAT form correction period provides applicants with an opportunity to review and make necessary modifications to their submitted application forms. During the form correction period, applicants can edit various details such as personal information, educational qualifications, exam centres, and other relevant fields.

The BITSAT 2023 form correction window for session 1 has been closed on April 20, 2023. Further, for session 2, the form correction window concluded from 9th – 12th June 2023. The application number, password, and email address are required for candidates to log in and access the correction process. 

BITSAT Slot Booking 2023

The BITSAT slot Booking 2023 for session 2 has been concluded. Students could book their exam slots between the 14th – 15th of June 2023. However, for session 1, the BITSAT Slot Booking 2023 started between the 10th to 14th of May 2023. Exam slots could be reserved by applicants using the slot booking method. However, a first-come, first-served policy is applied.

Candidates were required to choose among the available exam slots during this process based on their preferences. There will be two main slots: Slot 1, which runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Slot 2, which runs from 2:00 PM to 5 P.m. Soon after the slot booking process was completed, applicants were provided the BITSAT admit card. To book an exam slot, applicants will need to log in to the official website with the provided credentials such as the ID and Password. 

What Happens if BITSAT Registration ID Gets Misplaced?

One's application ID number could be lost or forgotten, which could result in difficulties and problems. Students are recommended to visit the official website in this case to reactivate their registration numbers. This can be done by going to the official website and selecting the "Forget Application Number" option after which they must provide the registered Email or number.  The registered mobile number or email address will receive a new Application ID.

BITSAT Pattern 2023

Students wanting to pursue BITS' engineering programs will have to attempt questions in physics, chemistry, math, English, and logical reasoning. Whereas, candidates interested in pharmacy programs will need to answer questions in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, English, and Logical Reasoning. Both will get a total of 130 questions which would have to be solved within 3 hours. Applicants who finish the paper in advance will get additional 12 bonus questions.

After the exam is over, candidates will be given their BITSAT results indicating the correct and incorrect answers. However, the official scorecard and result will not be released until a few days after the exam has been held. Each applicant will get a separate set of questions as they would be chosen from a vast question bank. Students have the liberty to attempt any section first according to their choice Moreover, they can also alter and edit their answers. Each correct answer will carry +3 marks and with every incorrect answer, -1 will be deducted.

BITSAT Syllabus 2023

The BITSAT syllabus 2023 is now available for the reference of candidates. The official brochure and syllabus cover topics and subtopics in biology/mathematics, English, logical reasoning, physics, and chemistry. The 11th and 12th grade NCERT books for the same subjects would cover the majority of the curriculum. Physics is often considered the most challenging section and covers the maximum topics. It includes a total of 18 sub-topics from the areas of Optics, Units and Measurements, Impulse and Momentum, Kinematics, and Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, amongst others. 

BITSAT Admit Card 2023

BITSAT session 2 admit card has been released on 16th June 2023. Applicants may visit the official website and download the BITSAT hall ticket between 16th June to 18th June 2023. The admit card for the first session was released on 15th May 2023.

Admit cards allow applicants to attempt the exam at a test centre, as without a valid admit card, the entry would be denied. This document is provided to students by the exam authorities and it contains information regarding the exam centre venue, time slot, date, and test guidelines. For BITSAT, the admit card would be provided separately for both test sessions a few days before the conduction of the exam.  

The information on the BITSAT Admit Card must exactly match the information on the identification documents and documents used at the time of exam registration. That is why the hall ticket should be carefully read by students. Candidates would have to report discrepancies if the admit card includes any of the following errors:

  • Incorrect name
  • Incorrect contact details
  • Wrong chosen subjects
  • Wrong slot timing
  • Spelling errors
  • Incorrect date of birth
  • Incorrect position of the student's signature

BITSAT Result 2023

The BITSAT final result has been made public. The BITSAT session 2 result was announced on 24th June 2023. Previously, the session 1 result was declared on 29th May 2023. Applicants may visit the official website to check their BITSAT final scorecard 2023. Qualified applicants who perform well enough to pass the cutoff will thereafter be eligible for the BITSAT Counselling 2023.

The official scorecard is made public shortly after the exam, as has been the case in the past. For instance, the test in 2022 was administered from July 2 to July 9, 2022, and session 2 of the exam was administered from August 3 to 7, 2022. Scorecards for the same were released between July 15 and August 31, 2022. Similarly, the BITSAT scorecard 2023 was released on the website on 24th June 2023 for the exam conducted from 18th June to 22nd June (session 2) and 21st May to 26th May (session 1).

BITSAT Counselling 2023

The BITSAT Iteration Result will be released on the official website separately for engineering and B.Pharm programmes. Recently, the BITSAT Iteration 3 result was posted on 17h July 2023. Candidates are currently applying for admission to BITS campuses based on their scores. Students on the BITSAT waitlist will receive an update following each iteration. Only the merit list will be used to decide who gets in. However, there are a few instances where students who match the requirements for the same may be admitted directly.

During the counselling process, applicants who get admission would be allotted a seat after they get a documentation verification done. A one-time fee will be charged to selected students who are taking part in the counselling procedure. It costs INR 1000 to attend BITSAT counselling. It would be necessary to make the payment online using a debit/credit card or net banking.

BITSAT Admit List 2023

Candidates who will fall on the admit list will be those performing exceptionally well on the test. These shortlisted students will be the first ones to be called for the different iteration rounds of the counselling process.

BITSAT Wait List 2023

Candidates on the BITSAT 2023 Wait List will have to wait until the upcoming iteration round to discover whether they have been selected for BITS. In the event that there are any openings, these applicants will be contacted for counselling. This will happen in case some applicants drop out, leaving open seats for applicants on the waitlist to fill. 

BITSAT Cutoff 2023

The released cutoff will determine the minimum marks needed to get admission. This means the cutoff is the minimum score that students must acquire or exceed to get admitted into the target college.  The exam for this year is tentatively scheduled to take place in May and June 2023, hence, the cutoff for the same should release soon after.

The BITSAT cutoff will be affected by the following factors-
