CBSE 12th Result 2025 is likely to be released on May 13, 2025 (tentative). However, the official confirmation regarding the CBSE class 12 result date is not confirmed yet. The Central Board of Secondary Education will announce the results for CBSE 12th examinations in online mode. CBSE 12th Result 2025 - Relative Grading 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has adopted a relative grading system instead of an absolute grading system because it is a more scientific approach for awarding subject-wise grades to the students of classes 10th and 12th. 

For awarding grades, all the selected candidates are put in rank order and have been divided into 8 equal  groups and are awarded grades in the table below -

• Many variations in the proportion of students to adjust ties are made, wherever applicable.

• Regarding subjects where the total no. of students passing a subject is less than 500, the grading will be adopted in the pattern of grading and distribution in other similar subjects.

Overall Pass Percentage

This year, the overall pass percentage has been 87.3% whereas the previous year, the overall pass percentage was 92.7%. Thus, in 2023, the overall pass percentage dipped by 5.38% as compared to 2022.

Gender-Wise Pass Percentage

This year, the pass percentage for girls has been 90.68% and for boys, it has been 84.67%. From this, we can infer that the girls have performed better than the boys by 6.01%.
