The NITTE (Deemed to be University) is situated in Mangalore, Karnataka and is rooted in a collection of establishments founded by the NITTE Education Trust.The late Justice KS Hegde, a Supreme Court judge and Speaker of the Lok Sabha, one of India's most esteemed statesmen, founded the Trust in 1979 with the goal of empowering rural youth with access to high-quality healthcare and education.

The Trust established 36 institutions spread over three campuses in Bangalore, Mangalore, and NITTE educational training, school/pre-university education, and training. It provides instruction in a variety of subject areas, including engineering, management, humanities, general education, vocational training, and education for schools and pre-universities.

In 2021, the University was accredited by the NAAC with an A+ grade. It has continuously been ranked in the Top 65–80 range in NIRF. The University is ranked in the Asia Region's QS Rankings between 401 and 450. According to the QS I-Gauge India Ratings, it has a Diamond rating. 

According to the NIRF rankings, the university's constituent colleges are well-regarded in their respective fields. NITTE University placed 65th in the NIRF 2023 rankings, but the dental and pharmacy schools came in fifth and 46th, respectively. The NBA has accredited the University's B Pharm curriculum. Both NABL and NABH have accredited the teaching hospital. In the fields of medical, allied health sciences, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, speech and audiology, biological sciences, media & communication, and architecture, the university offers 74 programs in all. There are more than 4600 students enrolled, 575 faculty members, and 2175 support personnel. The 52-acre university campuses are dispersed throughout the Mangalore neighborhoods of Deralakatte and Paneer.

NITTE Eligibility Criteria 2024

• Admission to different programs is based on the eligibility requirements and the merit list in the university’s entrance exam.
• Entrance exams such as, NUCAT, NEET UG/PG, CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ KMAT, NEET MDS, ICMR / DBT / DST / CSIR /UGC-NET / GATE, GPAT, CEED.
•  To be eligible for the entrance exam, an applicant must register online at the university's website. 
• After paying the required annual tuition, the candidate will be provisionally admitted to the program based on their merit and if they meet the eligibility requirements.

NITTE Placement 2024

In 1994, Kirloskar Snydergenral was the first corporation to visit a campus and recruit two students. This marked the beginning of campus recruitment. The number of organizations visiting the campus and offering our students more than 1,200 job offers has now surged to 200+ companies. 

As per the placement record the highest package was INR 45.64 LPA by Amazon and average package was INR 11.75 LPA.

The Department offers courses that assist students with their knowledge and provide them with technologies and skills that are applicable to the workplace. To help students ace the selection process and offer them a competitive edge in the job markets, soft skills training is organized. Through 'Off-Campus' efforts and referrals, non-placed students receive placement assistance for a year following their graduation.
