GPAT Exam 2024: Registration Dates, Admit Card, Eligibility, Pattern & Syllabus

GPAT Exam 2024: The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national-level examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to provide admissions to eligible candidates for Pharmacy (PG) courses. NBEMS has released the official GPAT exam dates 2024 on its official website - natboard.edu.in.

As per the released calendar, the GPAT exam is scheduled to be held on June 8, 2024. Candidates who are interested in appearing for the GPAT exam 2024 must have passed their 10+2 examination along with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm). Candidates in the final year of the B.Pharm programme can also appear for the examination. Eligible candidates can fill out the GPAT application form 2024 which will be made available on the official website of GPAT.

Latest Updates: 

• NBEMS has started the GPAT application 2024 process on its official website on April 19, 2024. 
• Candidates can submit their GPAT application form 2024 till May 8, 2024, by 11.55 pm. 

NTA will issue GPAT 2024 admit cards to only those candidates who have successfully completed and submitted the GPAT application form 2024. If a candidate does not meet all of the eligibility requirements or does not fill out the application form correctly, their candidacy will be cancelled. The GPAT admit card contains important information about the candidate, such as their name, roll number, and exam centre.

GPAT Application Form 2024

The GPAT application form 2024 will be made available on the official website of NTA GPAT. Eligible candidates can fill out the application form by visiting the website. Candidates require the following documents in order to successfully fill out the application:

• Class 10th Mark sheet
• Class 12th Mark sheet
• Bachelor’s of Pharmacy (B. Pharma) Mark Sheet
• Scanned copy of candidate’s passport-sized photograph
• Scanned copy of candidate’s signature
• Valid ID proof

GPAT Admit Card 2024

Candidates who have successfully submitted the application form and have paid the application fee will receive the GPAT admit card a few days before the day of examination. Candidates must download the admit card from the official GPAT website and save it for future reference. Candidates must note that they will not be allowed to enter the examination centre or write the exam if they fail to produce the admit card on the exam day. Upon receiving the admit card, candidates must verify the following details:

• Candidate’s name
• Gender
• Date of Birth
• Category
• Father’s name
• Photograph
• Signature
• Roll Number
• Day and time of the exam
• Reporting time and gate closing time
• Name and address of the examination centre
• Instructions to be followed by the candidates at the GPAT 2024 examination centre

GPAT Exam Pattern 2024

GPAT Syllabus 2024

The GPAT syllabus is vast and diverse in nature. As mentioned in official notification, the syllabus for the exam will be prescribed by AICTE. Candidates must thoroughly go through the syllabus in order to adopt the right strategy for exam preparation. For the exam, candidates are required to prepare various topics from different subjects like Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry etc.  Read More: GPAT Syllabus 2024

GPAT Answer Key 2024

After the successful completion of the GPAT exam, NTA releases the answer key on its official website. Candidates must note that NTA releases two types of answer keys: provisional and final. The provisional GPAT answer key is released a few days after the examination along with the question paper and response sheets. The final answer key is released along with the final result.

Candidates must note that they can challenge the provisional answer key by filling in the required application form and paying the application fee, however, NTA will not entertain any challenge to the final answer key.

GPAT Result 2024

Candidates can check their GPAT results 2024 from the official website of GPAT. Candidates can download their GPAT scorecard by entering their credentials like the application number and password/date of birth. NTA calculates the final result on the basis of the final answer key.

Candidates must note that once the final answer key and final results have been declared, NTA will not entertain any requests for re-checking or re-totalling of the GPAT results/score. 

GPAT Cutoff 2024

Along with the final results, NTA also releases the GPAT cutoff on its website. Afterward, the individual institutes and colleges also release their cutoff lists separately in order to provide admissions to the eligible candidates into the Pharmacy (PG) courses.

GPAT Counselling 2024

Candidates who secure marks equal to or more than the cutoff released by NTA are eligible for appearing in the GPAT counselling round. Candidates need to register on the official NTA GPAT website to enter into the counselling round and submit the names of their preferred institutes. GPAT Books 2024

In order to prepare comprehensively for the GPAT exam, candidates need to refer to the right books for preparation. Candidates are advised to create their own booklist after developing a clear understanding of the GPAT syllabus, exam pattern and previous year question paper trends. GPAT 2024 Preparation Tips

Since the GPAT exam preparation process can be quite taxing and challenging, candidates are advised to keep the following tips in mind while preparing for the exam:

• Understand the GPAT syllabus: Candidates must ensure they know the syllabus well enough to prepare an effective strategy.
• Study the exam pattern and marking scheme well: Candidates need to develop a good understanding of the exam pattern and marking scheme.
• Create your own booklist: Candidates must be aware of the important books related to the exam, create a concise booklist for the examination and then stick to it.
• Create your own notes: Candidates should make their own notes as it will help them to prepare for the exam effectively and also help with faster revision.
• Repeated Revision and Practice: Candidates need to repeatedly revise their notes and ensure that they are clear about all the concepts and feel confident about their exam strategy and preparation. 
• Consistency, Discipline and Patience: Candidates should be consistent, patient and disciplined while preparing for the exam no matter how challenging the preparation period may be.
• Take breaks: Candidates must take breaks when required, have nutritious meals, and ensure that they daily get 7 to 8 hours of sleep.
