XAT Exam 2026: The XLRI Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, conducted the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) on January 4, 2026. XAT is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice questions in four sections. XAT result 2026 has been released on January 16, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the XAT 2026 exams can check their scorecards from the official website - xatonline .in.

The XAT 2026 answer key was out on January 9, 2026. The objection window has also been activated by the exam conducting body on the official website. 

The admit card for the XAT 2026 exam was released on the official XAT website on December 26, 2025. The registration deadline for XAT 2026 was extended till December 11, 2025. Earlier, the last date to apply for the XAT exam was December 5, 2025. 

Candidates who wish to take admission in MBA programmes across top B-schools in India appear for the XAT exam. The Xavier Institute released the XAT application form on July 10, 2025. The application edit window for XAT 2026 was activated from November 25 (9:00 AM) to November 27, 2025 (9:00 AM), enabling candidates to review and correct details in their submitted applications. The final mock test window will open from 12:00 PM on November 19, 2025, to 12:00 PM on November 20, 2025, providing candidates with an opportunity to experience the same test environment as the actual exam.

As per the provided details, the XAT 2026 is scheduled to be conducted across various cities in India. The test centres include Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, and many more. After the conclusion of XAT 2026, the conducting body will announce the results for the same, tentatively by the end of January 2026. 

XAT Exam 2026

The XAT exam duration is 3 hours or 180 minutes, which is from 2 PM to 5 PM. The XAT question paper is divided into four sections:

  • Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability
  • Data Interpretation and Quantitative Ability

  • General Knowledge 

There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the XAT exam. Every correct answer is awarded 1 mark. In case there are more than 8 unattempted questions, there will be a deduction of 0.10 marks for each unanswered question.
