IIT Jammu BTech Admission 2025: On the basis of JEE Advanced scores, IIT Jammu BTech Admission counselling is carried out by JoSAA. The result for the Seat Allocation Rounds is yet to be released. Candidates are advised to check the seat allocated to them and Freeze, Float, or Slide the allotted seat.

Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) Admission 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) provides a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in fields such as engineering, science, humanities, and social sciences, supported by a faculty team of over 100 members and a student body exceeding 1300.

IIT Jammu selects students through a combination of entrance exam scores and subsequent interviews. For undergraduate courses, candidates are evaluated based on their JEE Advanced results. Meanwhile, for postgraduate and research studies, admissions rely on national-level tests like IIT JAM, GATE, UGC, CSIR-NET, NBHM, and Inspire.  

The primary program at IIT Jammu is the B.Tech. degree. Admission to the B.Tech. program at IIT Jammu requires candidates to have scored at least 75% in their Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2). Selection is based on the national-level JEE Advanced examination rankings. Following this, centralised seat allocations are managed by JoSSA on a national scale. For the academic session 2024 IIT Jammu enrolled a total of 784 undergraduate students. For the 2025 academic year, the tuition fee for the B.Tech. course was set at INR 1,00,000 per semester for students whose family income exceeds INR 5 lakhs.

IIT Jammu offers a four-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical  Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, and Mechanical Engineering. 

Candidates who want to pursue a B.tech program should have an HSC (10+2) degree with 75% marks in aggregate in PCM. Candidates should also achieve a commendable JEE Advanced score, as admission decisions are based on these scores. Following this, centralised seat allocations are managed by JoSSA on a national scale.

IIT Jammu B.Tech. Admission 2025: JoSAA Cutoff

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has yet to release the JoSAA Rounds opening and closing ranks for NITs, IIITs, and IITs. For now, candidates can download the PDF to check the closing ranks of the previous year for all courses of IIT Jammu.

IIT Jammu B.Tech. and MBA Admission 2025

IIT Jammu's undergraduate programs allocate 20% of seats (segmented by category) specifically for the dual-degree initiative with IIM Jammu. This unique pathway encompasses a four-year B.Tech degree from IIT Jammu followed by a two-year MBA from IIM Jammu. Students have the option to transition to the MBA program at IIM Jammu upon completing their third year at IIT Jammu, bypassing the need for the CAT exam, provided they maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.0. This initiative aligns with the principles of the NEP 2020, promoting a more integrated and collaborative approach in higher education. Those who choose not to pursue the MBA route will receive their B.Tech degree upon meeting IIT Jammu's academic criteria.

IIT Jammu M.Tech. Admission 2025

For admission into M.Tech. programs like Computer Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering at IIT Jammu, candidates need a valid GATE score. Additionally, applicants should hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum CGPA of 8.0, or 7.5 for those from SC/ST categories. 

IIT Jammu M.Sc./M.S. Admission 2025

For entry into the two-year master's program and the Master of Science in Research specialising in Chemistry at IIT Jammu, candidates are evaluated based on their IIT JAM scores. Applicants are required to submit the JAM-2025 undertaking form and present a valid certificate for reserved categories, if relevant. 

IIT Jammu Ph.D. Admission 2025

Admission to the Ph.D. programs in disciplines like Computer Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Physics, as well as humanities and social sciences at IIT Jammu relies exclusively on national-level exams such as UGC, CSIR, INSPIRE, NBHM, or other recognized JRF schemes.
