The board has taken this action to bring complete transparency to examinations and the checking of copies.

Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, on May 27, 2026, admitted that there were “some discrepancies” in the ongoing CBSE Class 12 revaluation process and said the government has taken responsibility for the matter. Speaking after a meeting with officials of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Pradhan said the authorities are committed to addressing students’ concerns and ensuring transparency in the process.

The Central Board of Secondary Education reopened the CBSE 12th revaluation registration portal on May 20 after fixing a technical issue. Students could apply for a photocopy of answer sheet until May 25. In a press note issued, the CBSE informed that the website had been facing heavy traffic over the past few days, making it prone to disruptions. “In an attempt to ensure that no student is left behind,” the board said it was extending the deadline for obtaining scanned answer books.

Only students who receive a photocopy can request revaluation for CBSE 12th Class 2026. The link for revaluation will be available starting May 26. The final date to apply for revaluation is May 29.
