Bihar Board 12th Exam 2026: The BSEB is expected to release the Bihar Board Inter Compartment Result 2026 by the end of May 2026 on the official website, exam.biharboardonline.org. The board successfully conducted the BSEB Inter Compartment Exam from May 2 to May 11, 2026. Last year, the supplementary exam results were released on May 31.

Earlier, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna, announced the BSEB Class 12th Result 2026 on March 23, at 1:30 PM. The board officials released the Bihar Board 12th Result 2026 through a press conference. Students can check their board results from the official website using their roll code and roll number in the designated spaces. The BSEB 12th result 2026 has been declared on the official portal at results.biharboardonline.com. Additionally, the BSEB Inter results were also available at education.indianexpress.com.

The Bihar Board had released the BSEB 12th Admit Card 2026 on January 16 on its official portal. The Bihar Board 12th Exam 2026 concluded on February 13, 2026. Around 13.18 lakh students have registered for the Bihar Board 12th Exam 2026, and 1,762 exam centres have been allocated for the same. The BSEB class 12 exam is conducted annually, and it is held in pen-and-paper format. The board releases the detailed exam pattern, syllabus, and mock papers, subject-wise, on its official website. The Bihar inter sent-up exams will be conducted from November 19 to 26, 2025. However, the practical exams are scheduled between November 27 to 29, 2025. 

BSEB Class 12 Compartment Exam 2026

BSEB conducted the class 12th compartment exam for those students who failed any subject in the annual exam from May 2 to May 11, 2026. To get the passing certificate, students are required to reappear for that particular subject. For the academic year 2025-26, the Bihar board 12th compartment exam applications were submitted from March 25 to April 2, 2026. The BSEB Inter Compartment Result 2026 will be released by the last week of May 2026.

Bihar Board 2026 Class 12th Exam Updates

The Intermediate Annual Examination 2026 began on February 2, 2026, at a total of 1,762 examination centres across the state. 

• On February 2, in the first sitting (from 09:30 AM to 12:45 PM), the Biology subject examination was conducted for candidates of the Science stream, for which 4,98,475 candidates had filled the examination form. In the same first sitting, the Philosophy subject examination was conducted for 3,842 candidates.​

• Similarly, in the second sitting (from 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM), the Economics subject examination was conducted for a total of 55,964 candidates of the Arts and Commerce streams.

• On February 06, 2026, the board successfully conducted the English exam in the first shift and Hindi exam in the second shift. The English examination was carried out from 09:30 AM to 12:45 PM, for 6,43,792 students from the Science and Commerce streams. The Hindi examination commenced from 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM, for 6,45,655 students who appeared from the Arts stream and Vocational Courses.
• In the district of Patna, 42,863 students appeared from the Science and Commerce streams in the English exam, while 30,294 students of the Arts and Vocational streams appeared in the Hindi exam on February 6.
• The Intermediate Annual Examination 2026 was conducted successfully in both shifts at all examination centres across the state on February 9. In today’s first shift, the examination of the Hindi subject and in the second shift, the examinations of History, Agriculture and Elective Subject Trade Paper-1 were held.
• On February 9, in the first shift, the Hindi subject examination for 6,14,394 candidates of Science and Commerce streams was conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM. For the second shift, a total of 5,98,895 candidates had filled the examination form. 

The Bihar School Examination Board has created four model examination centres in each of the 38 districts of the state. Thus, a total of 152 model examination centres have been set up across the state, where all the examinees are girl students and all deployed invigilators, police personnel and magistrates, along with all other staff, are also women.

The Bihar Board class 12th results 2026 has been released online. Students who appeared for the board exams can check and download their mark sheets through the official website for inter results. To view the BSEB result 2026, students are required to enter their roll code, roll number and security captcha code in the login window on the official website.

Last year. the Bihar Board 12th result was released on March 25, 2025 at 1:15 PM. As per the data released, a total of 12,80,211 students appeared for the BSEB intermediate (class 12) exam 2025, of them, 11,07,330 passed. The exams were held in 1,677 exam centres across the state. The overall pass percentage was 86.50%.

Bihar Board Class 12th Admit Card 2026

The Bihar board has released the BSEB class 12 admit card on January 16, 2026, in online mode. Only school administrators can download and distribute hall tickets to the registered students. They are advised to go through all the details mentioned on it carefully after downloading the admit cards. Students are mandated to carry their admit cards on the day of the examination.

The Bihar board prescribes the BSEB class 12 syllabus. The syllabus is released on the official website in the PDF format. Bihar Board 12th Exam Pattern 2026

The Bihar board issued the BSEB class 12 exam pattern on its official website. Furthermore, the main goal of the BSEB class 12 exam pattern is to provide candidates with information such as the duration of the exam, whether the exam has a negative marking, the mode of examination, and other pertinent details. 

Candidates must note that the BSEB Class 12 test is divided into two sections: theory and practical. Furthermore, the passing marks for theory and practice are not the same. In addition, each stream's marking system is divided into two sections, and candidates must pass each section with the required passing marks. Also, candidates should be aware that BSEB 12th exams contain 50% MCQ questions. Those topics that include both theory and practice, on the other hand, will only have 35 MCQ in the theory test. The exam will last 3 hours and 15 minutes.
