Bihar Board 12th Result 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna, has released the Bihar Class 12 result 2026 in online mode on March 23, 2026, at 1:30 PM. The board officials announced the Bihar board intermediate result through a press conference. Candidates must check the official website of the board - results.biharboardonline.com, to download their BSEB 12th marksheets online. The BSEB Intermediate Exam 2026 was conducted from February 2 to 13, 2026, for 13,17,846 candidates. This year, the overall pass percentage stood at 85.19%. The girls outperformed the boys as they stood at 86.23%, while the boys stood at 84.09%. The overall pass percentage for the BSEB 12th Arts Result 2026 was recorded at 82.76%, while the Commerce stream stood at 93.07% and the Science stream at 87.46%. Along with this, the Board officials announced 26 toppers, including 20 girls. In the Arts stream, Nishu Kumari secured the 1st rank with 95.80%. As for the Commerce stream, Aditi Kumari topped the list with 96.00%. While Aditya Prakash Aman bagged the 1st place in the Science stream with 96.20%.

Students who will be appearing for the Bihar 12th exams 2026 can check their scores by entering their roll code, roll number, and security captcha code in the designated spaces, once released. Apart from the official result websites, class 12 students can also check their Bihar Board Result 2026 through SMS and DigiLocker application as well. Students have to type a text message in this format - "BIHAR12 ROLL NUMBER” and send it to 56263. The overall qualifying status will be informed to candidates in their message box.

Along with the result, the board officials will also announce the BSEB 12th toppers’ names, overall and gender-wise pass percentage, and other details in a press conference. This year, the Bihar Board 12th exams 2026 were conducted in pen-and-paper mode. Students who are not satisfied with their class 12 exam scores can apply for scrutiny. The online application window for BSEB inter scrutiny 2026 will be available soon after the result announcement. 

Last year, the Bihar board intermediate result was announced on March 25, 2025, at 1:15 PM at a press conference. BSEB officials had confirmed the result date and time on their official 'X' account. The BSEB Chairman, Anand Kishore, along with Shri Sunil Kumar, Honourable Minister, Education Department, Bihar, and Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Bihar, were present in the Bihar intermediate results press conference. Bihar Board 12th Result 2026: Passing Marks Criteria

The BSEB class 12 passing marks refer to the marks that candidates need to score to qualify in the BSEB class 12 exam. Students are required to score a minimum of 33% marks in aggregate to qualify in the Bihar Board Inter exams. However, in practical subjects, they need to secure 40 per cent of the marks while 30 per cent of the marks in the written exam.

BSEB Inter Scrutiny Result 2026

Students who are not satisfied with their marks can submit their asnwer scripts for scrutiny/revaluation within the stipulated time. Last year, the dates for the online application to Bihar board 12th scruitiny were April 1 to 8, 2025. The results for Scrutiny are released online. Bihar Board 12th Compartment Exam 2026

Students must score at least 33% in Bihar board 12th examination 2026 to pass the examination. Those failing to achieve minimum passing criteria will not be given pass certificate. The application dates for BSEB 12th compartment exam will be announced soon after the board exam results. The BSEB conducts the compartment exams for the intermediate level in May 2026. 

Last year, the BSEB 12th comprtment application dates were from April 1 to 8, 2025. However, the board had extended the application date till April 15, 2025. The BSEB 12th compartment exams were held from May 2 to13, 2025. The result for the supplementary exam was released on May 31, 2025.
