CBSE 10th Board Exam 2025: Date Sheet, Admit Card, Pattern, Syllabus & Question Papers

CBSE Class 10 Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the CBSE class 10th board exams in offline pen-paper mode. As per the released dates, the board officials will conduct the CBSE 10th board exam for the academic session of 2024-25 from February 15, 2025. The detailed subject-wise date sheet is expected to be released in December 2024. Once released, students who are registered for the board exams will be able to download the timetable from the official websites - cbse.gov.in, cbse.nic.in. 

The CBSE earlier issued the sample question papers and marking schemes for CBSE class 10 students to provide a broad template to serve as a guide for ensuring uniformity and proper coverage of the curricula. Students who are appearing for the annual board exams can download the CBSE sample papers 2025 at cbseacademic.nic.in.

• CBSE Exam Dates 2025 for Class 10 are out at cbse.gov.in. Candidates can download the CBSE Timetable PDF here
• The CBSE board has released the practical exam dates for CBSE class 10 exam 2025 online on October 23. As per the released dates, the practical exams and internal assessment (IA) will be conducted from January 1, 2025. However, the annual CBSE class 10 theory exams 2025 will start on February 15, 2025.
• CBSE has released the practical exam dates for winter bound schools for the CBSE class 10 students on its website. As per the given dates, the CBSE 10th practical exams for winter bound schools will be held between November 5 to December 5, 2024. Students appearing for the board exams can check the SOPs and guidelines online at cbse.gov.in.

Students can download the CBSE 10th exam date sheet from the official website of CBSE with the help of the following steps: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of CBSE - cbse.gov.in

Step 2: Then, click on the “main website” tab

Step 3: Go to the “Latest @CBSE” section

Step 4: Now, click on the “Circular and Date sheet for Main Exam 2025” link

Step 5: After this, the CBSE 10th exam date sheet 2025 will appear on your  screen

CBSE Class 10 Admit Card 2025

CBSE Class 10 Exam 2025: Instructions for the students

On the day of the examination, students must adhere to the following guidelines and instructions that are clearly mentioned on their admit cards:

• Students must only use blue/black pen for writing the exam.
• Students must reach the exam centre well in time, that is, at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
• No electronic devices like calculators, mobile phones, smartwatches etc. will be allowed inside the examination hall.
• Students must carry the hard copy of their CBSE admit card to the examination centre, no soft copies of the admit card will be allowed or accepted.
• Candidates must not indulge in unfair means/practices while appearing for the board exam as they will be debarred from the exam.
• Students must ensure that they are wearing their proper school uniform and carrying their school ID and CBSE admit card to the examination centre on the day of the exam.

CBSE Class 10 Exam Pattern 2024-25

CBSE has introduced some changes in the CBSE 10th exam pattern and syllabus last year. Students are advised to develop a clear understanding of the latest CBSE exam pattern and syllabus to effectively prepare for the annual board examinations. Along with the subject-wise CBSE exam pattern, students must be aware of the following key points related to the exam pattern and marking scheme:

• The paper for each subject will be of 100 marks where the theory paper will carry 80 marks and the internal assessments will be of 20 marks
• Students need to score a minimum of 33% in every subject and overall to qualify for the CBSE 10th exams 
• The 5 compulsory subjects that students have to appear for in the annual board examination include Mathematics, English, Science, Social Science and Hindi
• Students need to cover the entire syllabus of Class 10 for their respective subjects for the board examinations 
• CBSE exams will be conducted in offline or in the pen and paper mode

Students are advised to thoroughly go through the CBSE 10th syllabus 2025 to adopt the right exam preparation strategy. CBSE Class 10 Result 2025

Students can check their results through various ways like SMS, Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) or call, DigiLocker, or by simply logging in to the official CBSE website. Apart from the provisional results that CBSE will be uploading on its website, students will also receive the official CBSE 10th mark sheet 2025 from the board a few months after the declaration of the results.
