CBSE Class 10 Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced CBSE class 10th board exams on February 15, 2025, in offline pen-paper format. The board officials conducted the English paper on the first day. As per the given details, over 23 lakh students appeared for the CBSE class 10 exam held at 7,780 exam centres.
According to the released dates, the CBSE 10th board exams for the academic session of 2024-25 will be conducted till March 18, 2025. Students can download the CBSE class 10th date sheet from the official websites - cbse.gov.in, cbse.nic.in. CBSE issued the sample question papers and marking schemes for CBSE class 10 students to provide a broad template to serve as a guide for ensuring uniformity and proper coverage of the curricula. Students who are appearing for the annual board exams can download the CBSE sample papers 2025 at cbseacademic.nic.in.
The CBSE class 10 admit card 2025 was released by the CBSE board officials on February 3, 2025. Candidates can expect the CBSE 10th result 2025 to be announced by mid-May. Once released, candidates will be able to download the marksheet for CBSE 10th board exams from the direct link given here. CBSE 10th exams. - In addition to the proposed schedule for two board exams for Class 10 students starting next year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released draft guidelines allowing students to take the exam either once or twice. If they choose the latter, they can opt out of specific subjects or papers they do not wish to retake.
- The CBSE board officials will roll out twice-a-year board exams for CBSE class 10 from 2026 and introduce the CBSE global curriculum for 260 foreign schools affiliated to it from the academic session 2026-27.

CBSE Class 10 Exam Pattern 2025
CBSE introduced some changes in the CBSE 10th exam pattern and syllabus last year. Students are advised to develop a clear understanding of the latest CBSE exam pattern and syllabus to effectively prepare for the annual board examinations. Along with the subject-wise CBSE exam pattern, students must be aware of the following key points related to the exam pattern and marking scheme:
- The paper for each subject will be of 100 marks where the theory paper will carry 80 marks and the internal assessments will be of 20 marks.
- Students need to score a minimum of 33% in every subject and overall to qualify for the CBSE 10th exams.
- The 5 compulsory subjects that students have to appear for in the annual board examination include Mathematics, English, Science, Social Science and Hindi.
CBSE 10th Syllabus 2025
Students must go through the CBSE class 10 syllabus 2025 to adopt the right exam preparation strategy. Since CBSE has revised the syllabus for Class 10 this year, students must be aware of the latest changes and plan for the CBSE exams 2025 accordingly. CBSE Class 10th Exam 2025: Instructions for the students
On the day of the examination, students must adhere to the following guidelines and instructions that are clearly mentioned on their admit cards:
- Students must only use blue/black pen for writing the exam.
- Students must reach the exam centre well in time, that is, at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
- No electronic devices like calculators, mobile phones, smartwatches etc. will be allowed inside the examination hall.
- Students must carry the hard copy of their CBSE admit card to the examination centre, no soft copies of the admit card will be allowed or accepted.
- Candidates must not indulge in unfair means/practices while appearing for the board exam as they will be debarred from the exam.
- They must ensure that they are wearing their proper school uniform and carrying their school ID and CBSE admit card to the examination centre on the day of the exam.
