With a strength of 6030 students and 353 academic staff, Banaras Hindu University is one of the oldest technical universities in India located in Banaras (Varanasi). The institute was established as Banaras Engineering College in 1919 which changed its name to the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, in 1968. In 2012, it received the designation of Indian Institute of Technology. There are 16 departments, 3 interdisciplinary schools, and 1 social sciences section at IIT (BHU) Varanasi. The college is a part of the Banaras Hindu University campus.

Around 25% of undergrads at IIT BHU are given merit-based scholarship money every year. IIT BHU Admission

IIT BHU admission is done on the basis of entrance examination. The institute accepts national level examinations for its B.Tech, B.Arch & M.Tech programs. IIT BHU B.Tech/B.Arch Admission

  • Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech & B.Arch program at IIT BHU are required to take the JEE entrance examination. Candidates must have a valid JEE Advanced score. Candidates having NATA score are also eligible to apply for the B.Arch program from IIT BHU.
  • Candidates having a valid score of accepted entrance examination are required to participate in the JoSAA counselling process.

IIT BHU Scholarships
