Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What does a cutoff signify?
A cutoff is a minimum score that is obtained by the test taker. Cutoff reveals the minimum score required for admissions evaluation. Simply put, the Cutoff is the score that applicants must meet in order to be admitted to BITS campuses. This makes it quite obvious that the cutoff is only accessible following the end of the exam.
What determines a cutoff?
The cutoff can be influenced and affected by various factors such as the vacancies and seat availability, the difficulty of the exam, the number of students who have attempted the exam, total number of applications received.
Where can one find the BITSAT cutoff online?
Once the exam has been successfully conducted, the cutoff would be released soon after on the official website.
What is the minimum score needed to get admission to BITS?
The admissions are wholly done on the basis of Merit. Students’ performance in the entrance exam and high school exams is evaluated to make a decision. Then, the scores achieved by students are matched with the released cutoff, and based on that a merit list comprising of an admit and a wait list is designed. Students generally strive for a score of at least 225 out of 450 to enter BITS.
