IIT Indore Admission 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore is set to initiate the admission process for the academic year 2024-25 in June 2024. The institute's flagship program is the B.Tech program, which is available in 9 distinct specializations. Notably, in the academic year 2023-24, 4 new specializations were introduced. These include Chemical Engineering, Mathematics & Computing, Engineering Physics, and Space Sciences & Engineering. Admission to the B.Tech program at IIT Indore is determined by an applicant's JEE Advanced score, followed by JoSAA counselling.
In addition to the B.Tech program, IIT Indore also provides M.Tech and M.Sc programs at the postgraduate level. Both of these programs allow students the opportunity to convert to M.Tech + PhD or M.Sc + PhD, respectively, at the conclusion of the 3rd semester. To gain admission to the M.Tech and M.Sc programs, the institute considers GATE and IIT JAM scores, respectively. The M.Tech program at IIT Indore encompasses 15 specialized fields, while the M.Sc program is available in 5 distinct specializations, including Astronomy.
Additionally, combined B.Tech + M.Tech, MS (Research), and PhD courses are offered at IIT Indore. Admission to PhD is determined by the results of the institute's entrance test, which is followed by a personal interview round. Students who have received a valid score on the UGC NET/JRF are not required to take the test and will be contacted straight for the interview phase.
