WBJEE 2025 - The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has released the WBJEE notification 2025 on its official website - wbjeeb.nic.in. The exam will be held on April 27, 2025. The registration for the WBJEE 2025 has started.

WBJEE Exam 2025 will be conducted on April 27, 2025. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) released the WBJEE notification on December 24, 2024. The online application for the WBJEE exam closed on February 23, 2025. The WBJEE 2025 registration started on January 22, 2025 and registration ended on February 23, 2025. 

Aspirants who successfully submitted their WBJEE application form 2025 will be able to receive the WBJEE admit card. The WBJEE admit card 2025 will be released on April 17, 2025 and candidates will be allowed to download their admit card till April 27, 2025. Students can download their admit cards using their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth. The official website to download hall tickets is wbjeeb.nic.in. 

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) conducts the WBJEE exam in an offline mode. The exam is conducted to give eligible candidates admission to various engineering and pharmacy undergraduate programs in different colleges and universities in West Bengal. The WBJEE 2025 Result date will be notified by the WBJEEB soon.

There are two papers in the WBJEE exam 2025: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The first paper consists of maths questions, and the second paper has physics and chemistry questions. Aspirants must show up for both papers in order to be considered for admission to top colleges of West Bengal. Only Paper II is open to candidates who want to enrol in pharmacy programmes. Nonetheless, a student must show up for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 in order to be admitted to Jadavpur University's Pharmacy programme. 

Candidates appearing only in paper-I are not eligible for any rank.

WBJEE application form 2025 is closed by WBJEEB on the official website. Aspirants who fulfil the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form using their personal and education details. The steps to fill out the application form are as follows:

  • Visit the official website of WBJEEB
  • Click on WBJEE Registration link available on the homepage
  • Enter your personal details like name, gender, date of birth, email address, and mobile number
  • Click on Registration tab
  • Upon successful registration, candidates will receive the registration number on the registered email address & mobile number
  • Now, login with the registration number and password received on the email ID.
  • Fill out the details as asked in the application form
  • Upload documents, photograph, and signature (scanned copy)
  • Pay the application fee
  • Submit the application form
  • Download the confirmation page received on the email ID.

WBJEE Application Fee 2025

Candidates are required to pay the application fee after they are done with filling the application form. The WBJEE application fee is Rs 500 for general candidates and Rs 400 for reserved category candidates.

WBJEE 2023 Application Fee

The WBJEE admit card will be released by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) on April 17, 2025. Candidates must carry their admit card to the exam centre failing which they will not be allowed to take the examination. Also, after downloading the admit card, students must verify the details mentioned on the admit card. Meanwhile, interested students can check the steps to download the admit card:

  • Submit the registration number and asked details

The WBJEE eligibility criteria include parameters that candidates must fulfil in order to become eligible for the exam. Aspiring students must fulfil the educational requirements, age limit criteria, and domicile requirements in order to apply for the exam. Interested aspirants can check the eligibility criteria below:

Age Limit

  • The minimum age to apply for the WBJEE exam is 17 years.
  • There is no maximum age limit for the exam. However, students must not be more than 25 years old for admission to the Marine Engineering course.

Educational Qualification

  • For admission to Engineering/Technology courses, students must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of the compulsory subjects: Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biology, or any Technical Vocational Subject. They must have at least 45% as aggregate in all three subjects and minimum 30% in English.
  • For admission to Pharmacy courses, students must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics as required subjects. They must have also scored 45% overall in all subjects.

Students preparing for the exam must be aware of the exam pattern. The WBJEE exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 (Mathematics) & Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry). The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) releases the answer key after the conclusion of the examination. The board first releases the provisional answer key which candidates can challenge if they are not satisfied with the answer provided by the board. Candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 500 per question to successfully challenge the answer. 

The board releases the WBJEE final answer key along with the result. The final answer key is not subjected to any kind of objection by candidates.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) releases the result after the successful conclusion of the exam. The result is released in the form of a scorecard containing the marks obtained by candidates. The board also releases two types of rank list: General Merit Rank (GMR) and Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR). The General Merit Rank is released for candidates who appear for both Paper 1 & Paper 2. The Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) is released for candidates who appear for only Paper 2. In case of tie, the board uses the tie-breaking rule to decide the qualifying status of the candidate. It is important to note that the tie-breaking rule for GMR & PMR is different.

  • Candidates appearing for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are eligible for General Merit Rank (GMR) and Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR). Such candidates can secure admission in all engineering and pharmacy courses offered by institutes.
  • Candidates appearing for only Paper 2 are only eligible for Pharmacy Merit Rank. Candidates can take admission to only Pharmacy courses except in Jadavpur University.
  • Candidates appearing only in paper-I are not eligible for any rank.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) releases the cutoff score on the official website. The WBJEE cutoff is released in the form of opening and closing ranks course-wise & institute-wise. Candidates must fall within the cutoff range in order to become eligible for the counselling round. The cutoff is influenced by various factors. These factors are as follows:

The WBJEE authorities offer seats to eligible candidates on the basis of their performance, rank, and availability of seats. Around 3 seat allotment rounds are conducted.
