MHT CET Result 2024 (Released): Tie-Breaking Policy, Details Mentioned on Scorecard

MHT CET Result 2024 - The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has released the results for the MHT CET exam on its official website, cetcell.mahacet.org on June 16, 2024 (6 PM). Candidates who appeared for the examination can download the MHT CET scorecard using their login details.

Earlier, the conducting body releases the notification saying that the MHT CET result will be announced before June 19, 2024. The official notice said, "MHT-CET-2024 Score card containing percentile Score for the respective Group (PCB and PCM) will be made available to the candidate's in their login on or before 19th June, 2024." The result is declared in the form of a scorecard containing the marks obtained by candidates and their All India Rank and state rank.

The state conducting body released the provisional MHT CET answer key 2024 on May 21. The final answer key will be released along with the MHT CET result 2024.

After the result announcement, selected students will be called for the MHT CET counselling 2024. Candidates who pass the exam are required to register for the counselling round after the result is declared.

The MHT CET Cut off is the minimum score that candidates must achieve in order to pass the examination. Candidates who clear the minimum cutoff score will be called for the counselling round by the conducting body.

MHT CET Result 2024: Normalisation Method

As with other significant entrance examinations held in India, the procedure of normalisation is an established practise for evaluating candidate scores across multi-shift papers.

Candidates must note that their percentile scores will be normalised instead of raw scores obtained by the candidate. To prevent bunching and reduce ties, the Percentile Scores will be calculated to a precision of 7 decimal places. The percentile score will be calculated as follows:

MHT CET Result 2024 - How to Check?

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) results can be checked by following these steps:

• Go to cetcell.mahacet.org - the official MHT CET website, and click the "MHT CET Result" link.
• Fill in login information, including application number and password.
• Choose "Submit" from the dropdown.
• On the screen will appear the MHT CET result.
• Verify your result and save it for later use.
• For later use, print out the result.

Note: Details about the candidate, including name, roll number, total marks scored, and qualification status, will be included in the MHT CET result. Applicants are recommended to carefully save a copy of their results until the admissions process is completed.

MHT CET Result 2024: Tie-Breaking Policy

In case of a tie in the MHT CET exam, the following tie-breaking policy is applied:

• Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics in MHT CET will be given higher preference.
• If the tie persists, candidates with higher marks in Physics in MHT CET will be given higher preference.
• If the tie persists, candidates with higher marks in Chemistry in MHT CET will be given higher preference.
• If the tie still persists, the candidate who has scored a higher percentage of marks in the Class 12th examination will be given a higher preference.
• If the tie still persists, the candidate who is older in age will be given higher preference.
