KEAM entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode across various exam centres in Kerala, Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai. It must be noted that the candidates who select Dubai as their exam centre will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 12,000 along with the KEAM registration fee. Candidates seeking admission into medical & medical allied courses and architecture course will have to appear for NEET-UG 2024 and NATA respectively. Along with clearing the respective entrance exams, such candidates must also fulfil the KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2024 to be eligible for admission into various courses.
Candidates seeking admission into various engineering courses will be required to appear for two papers: Paper I - Physics & Chemistry and Paper II - Mathematics. Candidates seeking admission in the B.Pharm course will have to appear for Paper I - Physics & Chemistry.
Along with the exam pattern, candidates must also go through the KEAM Syllabus 2024 well while preparing for the entrance examination.

Steps to Download KEAM Exam Pattern 2024
KEAM exam pattern is released along with the official KEAM notification. Candidates can download the latest exam pattern from the official CEE website.
The steps to download the KEAM exam pattern 2024 are as follows:
- Visit the official website of CEE
- Click on the link for “KEAM 2024 - Candidate Portal”
- Next, click on the “Prospectus” tab
- From here, you can download the latest KEAM prospectus and refer to the exam pattern and marking mentioned in it
KEAM 2024 Examination Venue
While filling out the KEAM application form, candidates can select their examination venue from the following options:
- Kerala
- Mumbai
- New Delhi
- Dubai
It must be noted that the candidates who choose “Dubai” as their examination venue will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 12,000 at the time of registration.
After the exam centres have been allotted to the candidates, no requests for changing examination centres will be entertained by CEE.
KEAM Exam Pattern 2024: Papers for Engineering, Medical & Architecture Course
Candidates must note that for different courses (engineering, medical, architecture), the KEAM exam pattern will also be different. Thus, candidates are advised to carefully go through the exam pattern for the respective courses they are seeking admission to.
For Admission to Engineering Courses
Candidates who are seeking admission into various engineering courses will have to appear for the following papers:

For Admission to Medical & Medical Allied Courses
Candidates who are seeking admission into any of the medical and medical allied courses will have to appear for NEET-UG 2024 which will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Such candidates must also fulfil the KEAM eligibility criteria.
For Admission to Architecture Course
Candidates who are seeking admission into architecture course have to appear for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) which will be conducted by the Council of Architecture, India. Such candidates must qualify NATA on or before June 20, 2024. It must be noted that the candidates included in the engineering rank list will not be considered for admission to B. Arch. course based on their engineering rank.
For Admission to B.Pharm Course
Candidates who wish to be considered only for the B.Pharm course will have to appear for Paper-I (Physics & Chemistry) of the KEAM entrance examination.
Note: Candidates’ appearance in the examination or inclusion in the rank list does not entitle them to admission into a particular course. Only the candidates who fulfil all the KEAM eligibility requirements will be given admission into the various professional courses.

During the examination, students will be given question booklets and OMR answer sheets. Candidates will have to mark their responses in the provided OMR sheet. After the completion of the exam, candidates can take the question booklets with them.
KEAM 2024: Marking Scheme

Since there is a provision for negative marking in the KEAM exam, candidates are advised to not give responses that they are not sure of. However, if a candidate fails to attempt at least one question in the examination, they will automatically be disqualified from the KEAM entrance exam and also from the further admission process.
KEAM 2024: Standard of Examination
As per the official KEAM 2024 prospectus, the standard of examination will be that of Higher Secondary or equivalent exams. The KEAM syllabus 2024 for all subjects is given in the latest prospectus.
Candidates must note that the syllabus published in the prospectus only contains the names of the topics that will be covered in the KEAM exam. Since KEAM is a highly competitive exam, candidates can expect application-based or advanced-level questions mentioned in the syllabus.
Candidates must also note that the questions that will be asked in the KEAM exam will not be exclusively based on NCERT textbooks or other such books.
