KCET Counselling 2026: The Karnataka Examination Authority has released the provisional KCET 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result on July 13, 2026, on its official website. Candidates can send objections against provisional result until July 14 (5 PM).

KCET Counselling 2026: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released the provisional KCET 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result on July 13, 2026, on its official website, keaonline.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates who are successfully registered for admissions to engineering and other professional courses can now check their provisional allotment status on the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. Candidates who find any discrepancies or wish to raise objections can send them to KEA by 5:00 pm on July 14, 2026. The final KCET 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result will be announced on July 15, 2026. The KCET 2026 mock seat allotment result was released on July 6, 2026.

KCET exam 2026 qualified candidates are required to verify their documents in person as per their allotted ranks. Last year, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) extended the date to enter the options for Round 3 medical and dental seat allotment till 12:30 PM on October 17. The Medical Education Department (MED) has issued the seat matrix by enhancing 50 medical seats in Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences for those candidates who wish to participate. Those who have already taken admisssion in medical colleges this year can also register for four other colleges, including BIDAR and BIMS.

KCET Counselling 2026: Documents Required

Candidates are required to carry certain important documents at the time of the KCET document verification process. If a candidate fails to complete the document verification process, they will lose their chance to participate in the KCET seat allotment process. The list of the documents required for the KCET document verification process has been mentioned below for your reference.

List of Documents Required (Only If Applicable)

On the basis of the KCET rank list/merit list 2026 prepared by KEA, eligible candidates will be considered for seat allotment. Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of the college-course options filled by them and the seat matrix issued by the state government. Eligible candidates will be allotted seats in various colleges in the state of Karnataka through the KCET 2026 counselling process. The steps involved in the KCET Counselling 2026 process have been explained below:

Step 1: KCET Document Verification 2026

  • Once the KCET rank list 2026 is released, candidates with a valid rank must visit their nearest helpline centre (the schedule for the same will be released on the official website of KEA)
  • At the KCET counselling venue, candidates must present their original documents along with two photocopies 
  • Documents will be verified to the ones uploaded by the candidates while filling out the KCET 2026 application form
  • After the successful completion of the document verification process, the concerned authorities will provide a verification slip and acknowledgment card to the candidates
  • Candidates must carefully verify all the details mentioned in their verification slip before leaving the KCET counselling venue
  • Once the document verification process is completed and the verification slip is issued, no changes will be entertained by the authorities

Step 2: KCET Choice Filling & Locking Process 2026

  • Candidates who successfully complete the document verification process will then be required to log into the official KEA website using their unique identity and password
  • Candidates can then fill out the college and course options on the basis of their KCET rank and preferences
  • Candidates will also be able to check the KCET Seat Matrix 2026 at the time of choice filling
  • KCET seat matrix 2026 will be made available on the official KEA website
  • Later, candidates can also modify the college-course options selected by them

Step 3: KCET Seat Allotment 2026

  • After the completion of the choice filling & locking process, KCET Seat Allotment 2026 result will be released on the official website
  • Seat allotment will be done on the basis of the candidate’s KCET rank, college-course preferences and KCET reservation criteria (if applicable) 
  • Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seats will then have to confirm their seats by paying fees and downloading the seat allotment order slip

Step 4: Reporting to Allotted Institute

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats will then have to visit their allotted as per the schedule released on the official website
  • Candidates must carry the required documents along with the KCET 2026 seat allotment letter to their allotted institute
  • In order to confirm their admission, candidates must pay the required tuition fees to their respective institute

After the completion of the KCET seat allotment 2026 process, candidates will have to visit their allotted institute and confirm their admission by paying the required tuition fees. After the completion of each round of KCET counselling, the KCET Cut Off 2026 will be released on the KEA website.
