Gujarat Common Entrance Test 2026: GSEB released the exam dates for the GUJCET 2026 on its official website. GSEB will conduct the GUJCET Exam 2026 on March 29, 2026.

GUJCET 2026: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has officially released the exam dates for Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2026. The authority has notified the GUJCET 2026 Exam Date, which will be conducted on March 29, 2026, for science stream students. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the GUJCET 2026 exam through the official website - gseb.org.

The official notification for GUJCET 2026 will be published soon on the official website of GSEB, along with the GUJCET Application Form 2026. Candidates must note that the detailed notification includes the GUJCET application form dates, fees, eligibility criteria, and other details.  Candidates will need to register for the GUJCET in order to appear for the exam. The application process will involve registration, filling out the application form, and payment of a fee.

What is GUJCET Exam 2026?

The GUJCET exam is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). The examination is conducted for eligible candidates aspiring to get admitted into one of the BTech and BPharma programs. The examination is conducted for admission to only Gujarat-based colleges.

As per the released notice, the GUJCET question paper of Physics and Chemistry will be combined carrying 40 questions from Physics and 40 questions from Chemistry, total of 80 questions, 80 marks and 120 minutes will be given. OMR Answer Sheet will also be for 80 answers. Whereas, Biology and Mathematics question papers will be different and the OMR Answer Sheet will also be given separately. That means 40 marks of 40 questions and 60 minutes will be given in Biology and Mathematics each. OMR Answer Sheet will also have 40 answers.

GUJCET Application Form 2026

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will release the application form on its official website. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. To complete the application form, students must correctly fill out personal and academic details, upload relevant documents, and pay the application fee.

As per the last year's trends, candidates are required to remit the application fee for GUJCET 2026. This fee can be conveniently settled online via credit/debit card or internet banking, or through any branch of SBI. The application fee amount remains consistent across all categories applying for GUJCET exam, set at INR 350.

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to appear for the GUJCET exam. Students must meet the eligibility criteria for the exam selection process. Hence, applicants must verify their eligibility before applying for the exam. Interested applicants can check the eligibility criteria below:

  • The candidate must be an Indian and should have a domicile in Gujarat.
  • The candidates should have passed or appeared for Class 12 or equivalent.
  • The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject for pharmacy.
  • The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subject for Engineering.
  • Candidates should have scored 45% (40% for the reserved category) in Class 12.

The GUJCET admit card will be released on the official website. Only candidates who successfully fill out the application form will receive the admit card. The admit card can be downloaded using the registration number and date of birth. Students must carry their admit card to the examination centre failing which they will not be allowed to take the examination. Aspirants must also check the details mentioned on the admit card. 

Candidates preparing for the GUJCET exam must know the exam pattern. Understanding exam patterns helps candidates get an idea of the number of questions asked in the exam, the duration of the exam, and the marking scheme. According to the GUJCET exam pattern, papers for Engineering & Medical will be held separately. Interested candidates can check the exam pattern for both engineering & medical papers below:

Candidates must understand the syllabus to prepare in a more streamlined way. The syllabus outlines important topics and subtopics from where questions are asked in the examination. The GUJCET syllabus includes subjects like Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology for admission to engineering & medical programs. To cover the syllabus comprehensively, candidates can start from Class XI & Class XII NCERT books. Once done with the NCERT books, candidates can move to the standard books.

GUJCET Syllabus 2026

Apart from completing the syllabus from NCERT & standard books, aspirants must also practice previous year question papers. This allows them to assess their strengths and weaknesses and strategize their preparation accordingly. 

The GUJCET Answer Key will be published by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) after the successful conclusion of the exam. The answer key released before the result is provisional. In other words, candidates can challenge the answer key if they are not satisfied with the answer provided in the answer key. Candidates who wish to challenge the GUJCET answer key 2026 must email their objections along with all necessary information to gujcetkey@gmail.com. 

Along with the answer key, GBSE also releases the response sheet on its official website. The response sheet contains the answers marked by the candidate.

The GUJCET Result 2026 will be released by GSEB on its official website after the successful conclusion of the exam. Candidates who pass the exam are included in the rank list. Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks to pass the exam. The minimum qualifying mark for general category students is 40% 

After a candidate passes the exam, GUJCET 2026 Counseling is held. Applicants who qualify for the counseling round must sign up on the website. They are contacted for document verification and choice-filling and locking procedure once they register. The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) is the organizing body of GUJCET Counselling. Selected applicants must report to the assigned college when the seat allocation results are released. It must be noted that admission is confirmed only after the candidate pays the admission fee.
