VITEEE Counselling 2026 - The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is expected to start VITEEE counselling 2026 on the official website after the result and cut offs are released, in second week of May, 2026 as they mention in the official website. VITEEE Counselling choice filling for Phase 1 is expected to start tentatively in the second week of May 2026.  The VITEEE Counselling Process for branch allocation is based on the candidate’s All India Rank (AIR) in VITEEE 2026. The exam body will start the counselling process after the declaration of the VITEEE result 2026 and the VITEEE 2026 cut off. Those candidates who will qualify will be eligible for VITEEE counselling 2026.

To be eligible for VITEEE 2026 counselling, students must register on the VIT website. Only registered candidates can attend the VITEEE Counselling rounds, where they will be allocated branches based on their rank, preferences, and seat availability.

VITEEE Counselling 2026: Guidelines for the Candidates

Candidates must carefully go through the following guidelines carefully to avoid any confusion during the VITEEE 2026 counselling process:

• Counselling dates and information will be posted on the official VITEEE website (vit.ac.in). Qualified candidates will also be notified via text message after the results are declared
• Counselling will be conducted through a single window for all courses offered by VIT University at all campuses
• Qualifying in VITEEE 2026 and attending the counselling process does not guarantee a seat
• Details of branches offered, seats available, and seats already filled will be displayed at the counselling centre to help candidates make their choices. Seats will be allotted based on availability
• If a candidate cannot attend counselling on the specified day and time, they may do so on a subsequent day after informing the authorities. However, they will have to choose from the courses available at that time
• The number of available seats for each branch will be updated on the VIT website as counselling proceeds
• If a candidate has not received their mark memo for the qualifying exam, they must sign an undertaking stating that if they fail, their seat will be surrendered
• Report to the counselling centre well in advance
• No change of date or time for counselling is permissible
• Students from the Andhra Pradesh/Telangana Intermediate Board of Education must submit their Pass Certificate Cum Memorandum of Marks at the time of admission
• Once enrolled in a course, a student is expected to complete it. They cannot withdraw from the university without informing the Registrar in writing. Otherwise, they will be liable to pay fees for the period their name remains on the rolls
• Candidates must report to classes within 7 days from the date of commencement of classes, failing which, their admission will be cancelled automatically and fees will be forfeited
• Violation of any instruction can make the candidate ineligible for admission
