MHT CET Exam Pattern 2024: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has released the exam pattern for the MHT CET exam 2024 on its official website. The exam pattern allows candidates to know the structure of the exam and the marking scheme of different types of questions. Aspirants appearing for the exam must be aware of the MHT CET exam pattern to prepare well for it. 

As per the exam pattern for the MHT CET exam, there will be three papers - Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry, and Biology. As per the notification released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, the exam difficulty level will be equivalent to JEE Main. Also, the difficulty level of the Biology paper will be at with NEET UG. However, there would be no negative marking in the MHT CET exam 2024.

Students must also go through the MHT CET syllabus before they start their preparation. As per the official notification, no changes have been made to the exam pattern & syllabus. The questions in the exam are generally asked as per the Class XI & Class XII syllabus. Hence, students must focus on their Class XI & Class XII syllabus thoroughly. As per MHT CET Notification 2024, approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std.XII curriculum while setting the question paper.

Applicants must appear in the PCM group if they are enrolling for engineering courses, whereas they must appear in the PCB group if they are applying for pharmacy courses. Choosing a PCM or PCB course was essential when submitting the MHT CET 2024 application form.

MHT CET Exam Passing Marks

For both PCM and PCB students, the MHT CET exam is of 200 marks. Students are required to obtain at least 45% marks, i.e 90 marks out of 200. For reserved category candidates, the passing marks stand for 40%. However, students must note that only qualifying MHT CET exam with passing marks does not guarantee admission to their preferred college and course. Aspirants have to clear the minimum cut off marks released separately by each participating institute to successfully secure admission.
