KCET Results 2025: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will release the KCET results in online mode. Candidates can check their results using their KCET registration number through the official websites - kea.kar.nic.in, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, karresults.nic.in.

The results of the candidates who have not submitted their qualifying examination marks or any other such information will be withheld by KEA. They must note that a separate KCET merit list/rank list will be issued by KEA for architecture, engineering & technology, farm science courses, etc.

After the declaration of KCET results, eligible candidates will participate in the KCET counselling 2025 process. Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of the college-course options filled by them and the seat matrix issued by the government. After the completion of each round of counselling, the KCET cut-off 2025 will be released.

The KCET results will be released on the official website of KEA. Candidates who appeared for the entrance exam can check their results by logging into the official KEA website. The steps to check KCET results 2025 have been mentioned below:

  • Visit the official websites of KEA - cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, karresults.nic.in
  • Click on the link for “KCET Results 2025”
  • Next, enter your KCET registration number and the first four characters of your name in the given fields
  • Click on the “Submit” tab
  • Your KCET result 2025 will be displayed on the screen
  • Download your KCET result and take its printout for future reference

KCET Rank List 2025

Candidates must be aware of the following with regard to the preparation KCET results and rank/merit list:

  • After the completion of KCET exam, provisional KCET answer key is published
  • Challenges can be filed against the provisional answer key
  • KEA will place the received objections against the answer key before their expert committee
  • The answer key finalised by the expert committee will be used to determine the final merit/rank of the candidates
  • Once the merit is determined, separate rank list will be issued for engineering, architecture, farm science and other courses

KCET Rank List 2025: Tie-Breaking Policy

If the merit of two or more candidates is the same, the following tie-breaking policy will be applicable for determining the final ranks of the candidates:

  • In case of a tie, candidate with higher marks in Biology will be given a higher rank
  • If the tie still exists, candidate with higher marks in Chemistry will be given a higher rank
  • If the tie still exists, candidate with higher marks in the qualifying exam will be given a higher rank
  • If the tie still exists, candidate older in age will be given a higher rank

Engineering & Technology

  • In case of a tie, candidate with higher marks in Maths will be given a higher rank
  • If the tie still exists, candidate with higher marks in Physics will be given a higher rank
  • If the tie still exists, candidate with higher marks in the qualifying exam will be given a higher rank
  • If the tie still exists, candidate older in age will be given a higher rank

Architecture

  • In case of a tie, candidate with higher score in NATA will be given a higher rank
  • If still there’s a tie, candidate with higher score in Maths in the qualifying exam will be given a higher rank 
  • If the tie still exists, candidate older in age will be given a higher rank

Note: If the tie still exists, then the final merit will be determined by draw of lots.

Along with the KCET results, the final KCET answer key 2025 and the list of the candidates whose results have been withheld will also be published. 

KCET Rank List 2025: What to do if no rank is allotted?

After the declaration of KCET results 2025, some candidates might not assigned ranks due to the following reasons:

  • Candidate might not have submitted the marks obtained in the qualifying exam
  • Candidate might have marked the version code incorrectly
  • There might be some change in the qualifying exam marks due to revaluation

Note: Candidates need not worry if no rank is assigned to them. They just need to submit the required documents to KEA within the stipulated time. After this, KEA will assign the ranks to such candidates.

KCET Results 2025 - How to challenge?

Candidates can challenge KCET 2025 results if any of the following details have been incorrectly mentioned in the result:

  • Marks obtained in the qualifying examination
  • Version Code
  • NEET/NATA scores (if applicable)

Note: Candidates cannot request for re-totalling or revaluation of the marks scored by them in the KCET 2025 exam. They can submit their objections within three days from the date of declaration of KCET results. Thereafter, the results of such candidates will be published by KEA. 

KCET Counselling 2025

On the basis of the KCET rank list/merit list prepared by KEA, eligible candidates will be considered for seat allotment. Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of the college-course options filled by them and the seat matrix issued by the state government. 

KCET Cut Off 2025

KCET cut off is released after the completion of each round of the counselling process. Candidates can check the college-wise and course-wise cut off by visiting the official website of KEA.

KCET Results - Previous year's highlights

In 2023, about 2.6 lakh students registered for the KCET exam out of which around 1.14 lakh were girls and 1.21 lakh were boys. As per the official data, the exam was conducted in 592 exam centres across Karnataka. About 16,000 non-Kannadiga students registered for the entrance examination were exempted from writing the compulsory Kannada exam. Out of the 2,03,381 students who have cleared the KCET engineering entrance exam, 96,577 were boys and 1,06,804 were girls.
