AP ECET 2026: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, on behalf of APSCHE, is expected to release the AP ECET Exam Schedule 2026 on its official website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Based on the historical pattern the AP ECET exam is anticipated to take place in May 2026. The exam schedule will be made available along with the notification PDF. The exam authority has not mentioned any official date but after looking past year trends, we can expect the AP ECET Notification 2026 in the month of March 2026, tentatively. Interested aspirants will be able to register themselves for the AP ECET 2026 exam online through the official portal. Candidates who have earned a diploma in Engineering and Pharmacy are eligible to appear for the AP ECET exam 2026. Along with the official announcement, APSCHE will release the AP ECET syllabus and exam pattern. The syllabus and exam format vary depending on the course for which a candidate has applied. There will be 200 questions in all broken down into four sections - Engineering paper, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, for admission to the diploma program via the AP ECET. With 100 question the engineering paper part has the most questions. In contrast there are 50 questions in mathematics, 25 in physics and 25 in chemistry.

AP ECET Exam Notification to be out in March 2026

Candidates who pass the AP ECET exam are called for the counselling round. The AP ECET 2026 Counselling is likely to be conducted in June/July 2026, after the announcement of results for written exam.

What is AP ECET exam?

AP ECET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test) exam is a state-level common entrance test conducted for Diploma/ B.sc candidates for lateral admissions (In second year degree programme) in engineering courses.  It is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Anantapur on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education).

While filling out the AP ECET application, candidates will have to pay a required fee of INR 600 for OC candidates, and INR 550 for BC students. Candidates are advised to download and print out the admit card after registering online for the examination and identity purpose.

AP ECET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

AP ECET eligiblity criteria is divided into two categories: 

AP ECET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Educational Qualification

• Students must have passed the 3 year B.sc Degree examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
• Students pursuing a diploma (final year) are also eligible to appear for the AP ECET 2026.
• Candidates must have passed Diploma in engineering/ pharmacy/Bsc with the aggregate of minimum 45% marks and 40 % for the reserved category. 

AP ECET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Domicile

Candidates appearing for the AP ECET 2026 must belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. They should satisfy themselves with the local/non-local status as per the requirement laid down by the Andhra Pradesh educational and technological Institutions order, 1947 as subsequently amended.  

Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering/ Pharmacy from the Technical education of Andhra Pradesh or any other AICTE diploma approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

AP ECET Registration Fees 2026

The enlisted registration fee is need to be paid by the aspirants in order to be eligible to appear for the AP ECET Exam 2026. Without paying the registration fee, application will not be considered submitted.

AP ECET result is announced after the completion of the exam in the online mode. The candidates appearing for the AP ECET 2026 can check their results on the registered account using login credentials.

However, students can use the following steps to check their AP ECET 2026 results: 

1. Visit the official website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/ECET
2. Students are then directed to click on the Result Link;
3. Followed by which, candidates will have to select their subject and fill in the login details;
4. AP ECET Result 2026 will open in the form of a rank list;
5. Candidates are required to save the rank list;
6. Post downloading, candidates can enter the AP ECET Rank List.

Based on these results, AP ECET counselling 2026 will be done for allotment of seats under various disciplines of UG courses.

AP ECET Qualifying Marks 2026

The candidates appearing for the AP ECET 2026 must score a minimum of 50 marks out of 200 marks that is the total of 25% to clear the AP ECET and to be eligible to obtain a rank in the exam, therefore, to appear for counselling. 

AP ECET Counselling 2026

Candidates who have scored more than 25% of the total marks i.e., 50 marks out of 200 marks in AP ECET 2026, will be eligible to obtain a rank and appear for counselling.
