AP ECET 2025: Exam Date, Registration, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus

AP ECET 2025: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education will release the official AP ECET notification at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. With the release of the notification, the AP ECET application form will also be released for eligible candidates. As per last year's trend, AP ECET exam date is May 2025 (tentative). The registration for the same will tentatively start in March 2025.

The exam will be conducted tentatively in May 2025 by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in the computer based mode. After the exam is conducted, AP ECET answer key will be released which can be challenged by candidates. After successful objections, the AP ECET result is announced by APSCHE. 

Candidates who pass the AP ECET exam are called for the counselling round. The AP ECET counselling will be conducted likely in June/July 2024, following which the seat allotment result is announced.

What is AP ECET exam?

AP ECET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test) exam is a state-level common entrance test conducted for Diploma/ B.sc candidates for lateral admissions (In second year degree programme) in engineering courses.  It is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Anantapur on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education).

While filling out the AP ECET application, candidates will have to pay a required fee of INR 600 for OC candidates, and INR 500 for BC students. Candidates are advised to download and print out the admit card after registering online for the examination and identity purpose.

AP ECET Eligibility Criteria 2025

AP ECET eligiblity criteria is divided into two categories: 

AP ECET Eligibility Criteria 2025 - Educational Qualification

• Students must have passed the 3 year B.sc Degree examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
• Students pursuing a diploma ( final year) are also eligible to appear for the AP ECET 2025.
• Candidates must have passed Diploma in engineering/ pharmacy/Bsc with the aggregate of minimum 45% marks and 40 % for the reserved category. 

AP ECET Eligibility Criteria 2025 - Domicile

Candidates appearing for the AP ECET 2025 must belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. They should satisfy themselves with the local/non-local status as per the requirement laid down by the Andhra Pradesh educational and technological Institutions order, 1947 as subsequently amended.  

Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering/ Pharmacy from the Technical education of Andhra Pradesh or any other AICTE diploma approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 

AP ECET Registration 2025

Students can register for the AP ECET 2025 on the official website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/ECET. While filling out the application form candidates are asked for the personal academic and contact details. Candidates are advised to download  and print out the admit card after registering online for the examination and identity purpose.

AP ECET Admit card 2025

The admit cards for the AP ECET exam are released after the registrations. Candidates who successfully regidter for the AP ECET exam on the official website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/ECET will be able to download the AP ECET admit card from the official website. Candidates are advised to download and print out the admit card after registering online for the examination and identity purposes. 

The students are required to carry AP ECET admit card with them as an identity proof to the examination centre on the day of examination. It is an essential document that must be preserved for admission and counselling purposes. 

AP ECET Exam Pattern 2025

AP ECET will be conducted for the Diploma/ B.sc candidates for lateral admissions (In second year degree programme) in engineering courses.

AP ECET Results 2025

AP ECET result is announced after the completion of the exam in the online mode. The candidates appearing for the AP ECET 2025 can check their results on the official website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/ECET by login their credentials.

However, students can use the following steps to check their AP ECET 2025 results: 

1. Visit the official website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/ECET
2. Students are then directed to click on the Result Link;
3. Followed by which, candidates will have to select their subject and fill in the login details;
4. AP ECET Result 2025 will open in the form of a rank list;
5. Candidates are required to save the rank list;
6. Post downloading, candidates can enter the AP ECET Rank List.

Based on these results, AP ECET counselling 2025 will be done for allotment of seats under various disciplines of UG courses.

AP ECET Qualifying Marks 2025

The candidates appearing for the AP ECET 2025 must score a minimum of 50 marks out of 200 marks that is the total of 25% to clear the AP ECET and to be eligible to obtain a rank in the exam, therefore, to appear for counselling. 

AP ECET Counselling 2025

Candidates who have scored more than 25% of the total marks i.e 50 marks out of 200 marks in AP ECET 2025, will be eligible to obtain a rank and sit for counselling. The counselling process for AP ECET exam will be conducted in June/July 2025. Candidates have to bring the documents listed below during AP ECET Counselling:
