Manipal University is expected to release the MET 2026 Phase 2 notification soon. Once announced, candidates who wish to apply for MET 2026 Phase 2 will be able to fill out the application form on the official website, manipal.edu.

Based on the previous year’s schedule, the application process is likely to close in the third week of April 2026, while the exam is expected to be conducted in the second week of May 2026. Similarly, the admit card release is expected in the second week of May 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for the exact schedule.

After the completion of the MET exam 2026 phase 2, the exam body will publish the answer key for the candidates. This will help in estimating their probable score in the exam. Once the final answer key is released after all the challenges, Manipal University will release the MET 2026 result phase 2 online. Those who will qualify for the MET exam 2026, will become eligible for MET 2026 counselling. 

Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2026 is a university level entrance exam conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs like BBA, BA, MA, BSc, BTech, MTech and many more. The MET 2026 is an online exam conducted over a duration of 2 hours. Candidates are tested across 4 sections — Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English.

MET Exam 2026 - Slot Timings

Before applying for the MET exam 2026, aspirants must go through the eligibility criteria for B.Tech and M.Tech courses. It will help in giving a broader view about the examination and the college.

BTech:

  • Candidates must pass the 10+2 level or its equivalent from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks. 
  • They should have passed English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their qualifying exam. 

MTech: 

  • Candidates must hold a graduate degree in BTech/B.E. or AMIE from any recognised university or institute with aggregate marks of at least 50%. 

The MET Registration 2026 Phase 2 is expected to be start in March allowing aspirants to appear for the MET Exam phase 2.. The registration process is done through the Online Test Booking System (OTBS). To register for the MET 2026, candidates must follow the steps below:

  • Visit the official MAHE website, manipal.edu and find the MET 2026 Registration Form.
  • Enter your personal details like Email Address and Phone number.
  • Select Program, Stream and Course.
  • After entering all the details, candidates must click on ‘Register & Continue’. 
  • If the registration is successful, aspirants will receive their login ID and password on their registered email and mobile number. 
  • Login with the new Login ID and password and fill your personal details, contact information, parents’ details, education qualification and your scanned photograph and signature. 
  • Choose your preferred course and submit.
  • Pay the application fee via any online payment mode. 

The application fee for all courses and candidates are the same. 

The MET Admit Card 2026 will be released by MAHE and candidates can generate it from the official website, manipal.edu. Only those candidates can download the MET 2026 Hall Ticket who successfully completed the registration process through OTBS.

The questions are presented in two forms- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). Check the table below to see the amount of marks allotted for each type of question. 

The marking scheme allows candidates to score 4 marks for every correct answer, deducts 1 for every wrong answer and gives 0 for every unanswered question in MCQs. For NAT, 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer and 0 is given for each wrong answer or unanswered question. 

The MET 2026 syllabus consists of concepts from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English. Candidates can check the syllabus here. 

Since the MET 2026 is conducted in two phases, the results are released separately as well. Candidates can check their MET Result 2026 on the official website—manipal.edu. Those who appeared for the Phase I attempt can expect their results a few weeks after the exam, in April 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Phase II attempt can expect their results to be released a few weeks after the exam, in May 2026.
