IMU CET Exam Date 2025: The Indian Maritime University conducts the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test, IMU CET exam 2025 every year for candidates seeking admission into top institutes of IMU. The examination conducting body has started the IMU CET application process from March 7, 2025. The last date to fill out the IMU CET registration form is May 2, 2025. The officials have announced the IMUCET exam date, which will be conducted on May 24, 2025. As per IMU CET exam pattern 2025, the paper comprises 200 multiple choice questions for UG Technical programs like B.Sc (NS), B.Tech (ME), B.Tech (NASB), and others. The exam pattern may differ according to the course for which candidates wish to appear.

How to apply for IMU CET exam 2025?
Aspirants can follow the steps that are given below to know how to register for IMU CET entrance exam 2025.
Step 1 - Registration
- Candidates need to visit the official website - imu.edu.in and click on the IMU registration link
- Fill out the personal details like candidates’ name, mobile number, and email ID.
- Candidates will have to create a password of ones’ choice.
Step 2 - Filling out the IMU CET Application form
- After completing the registration process, candidates will receive the login credentials on their mentioned email.
- Now, fill the application form by entering personal and academic details asked by the exam authority
- Choose an exam center as per your convenience.
Step 3 - Uploading Documents
- The documents include scanned copies of a photograph and signature.
- Candidates need to enter scanned copies of their documents as per the specified format. (for photograph should be in jpg, jpeg format only and signature in pdf, jpg, jpeg format only)
- Candidates must scan the copies correctly to avoid any blurry images and cancel of their candidature.
Step 4 - Payment of Application Fee
- Candidates will need to pay the application fee for successful IMU CET registration, the application fees vary as per the category and course of the candidate.
- Candidates will pay the application fee online through credit/debit card, netbanking.
Step 5 - Final submission
- After the payment of the application form, candidates will need to check the dashboard for downloading the application form.
- Take a print out of the IMU CET application form for future reference.

IMU CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To get admission into 3-Year B.Sc. (Nautical Science) programme, candidates must qualify 10+2/equivalent with (PCM Average-Minimum 60%) and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination. He/she must be unmarried. Candidates seeking admission to this Nautical Science Programme must be medically fit including eye sight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000, as amended. At the time of admission, candidates will be required to produce certificate of medical fitness issued by doctors approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai.
Eye sight:
There shall be no evidence of any morbid condition of either eye or of the lids of either eye which may be liable to risk of aggravation or recurrence. Candidates must possess good binocular vision(Fusion faculty and full field of vision in both eyes). Movement of the eyeballs must be full in all directions and the pupils should react normally to
light and accommodation. Normal colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara Test Chart. Distance Vision unaided 1.0*(6/6) in better eye and 0.67*(6/9) in another eye.

Note - Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for these programmes. It is strongly recommended that candidates seeking admission to the Marine Programmes have a Passport. Please ensure that the name on the passport is the same as that given on the 10th Std. Certificate.
IMU CET Admission Process 2025
The IMU CET 2025 admission process includes submitting the IMU CET application form 2025 through the official website, appearing for the entrance exam, and then being issued an IMUCET rank certificate. Candidates get admission into IMU campuses, affiliated colleges of IMU, and admission in DGS approved Marine Training Institute (MTI) which are not affiliated to IMU.

The Indian Maritime University conducts three types of IMU CET exams. Rank holders from the given CET’s can seek admission to respective UG/PG/MBA programmes.
- IMU-CET for UG (B.Tech., B.Sc. ,DNS) Programmes.
- IMU- CET for M.Tech. Programmes.
- IMU- CET for MBA Programmes.
Candidates who have qualified in the following exams can seek admission:
- CUET(UG): can seek admission to UG Programmes at the time of spot counselling for the residual seats available after Third List.
Note - For Admission to BBA programmes, candidates with CUET scores will be given Preference.
- GATE/CUET-(PG)/PG-CET: can seek admission to PG Programmes, however, preference will be give to candidates with IMU-CET ranks.
- CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/UG Marks: can seek admission to MBA Programmes, however, preference will be given to candidates with IMU-CET ranks.
- Ph.D./Ph.D.(Integrated)/M.S(By Research): Details of Entrance Test will be informed through a separate notification.

IMU CET Exam Pattern 2025
The Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMUCET) is conducted in online mode for those candidates who want to get admission in undergraduate, postgraduate and M.Tech programs. Last year, the IMU CET exam was conducted for 3 hours, from 11 AM to 2 PM at several centres across the country. In the question paper there are 200 questions for UG programs and 120 questions for MBA and M.Tech programs. The question paper is available in English medium. In IMU CET 2025, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

IMU CET Result 2025
IMU CET 2025 results will be declared by the Indian Maritime University (IMU) on its official website. Those candidates who appeared in the IMU CET 2025 examination can check their result by entering their required login credentials such as - login id and password. Candidates have to score minimum ranks as per cut off list to qualify the exam and to be selected for the counseling process.
