Jagannath Gupta Memorial Educational Society was set up in the memories of late Shri Jagannath Gupta. Delhi's first educational institution, the Jagan Institute of Management Studies, was established in 1993 and is located in Rohini Sector 5. Since then, the Society has progressively established a number of educational establishments such as Jagannath Institute NCR, Jagannath University Jaipur, Jagannath International Management School Vasant Kunj etc.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)  has approved PGDM, PGDM (IB), and PGDM (RM) programs. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has approved the PGDM, PGDM (IB), and PGDM (RM) programs for excellence in high-quality education. The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has also recognized these programs as having the same standing as for MBA. The Institute is accredited by NAAC A++. and according to NIRF data, JIMS is ranked 88th in the Management category.

The Jagannath Gupta Memorial Educational Society offers educational services primarily in the fields of journalism, engineering, architecture, management, information technology, fashion and information design, physiotherapy, and law. More than 600 faculty members and over 10,000 students make up the Society's current membership. 

Apart from this, the campus area of the institute is spread over 1.1 acres with all basic facilities of a library, classroom with AV facilities, auditorium etc.

The Jagan Institute of Management Studies offers various programmes in Management. The Institute has PG courses such as PGDM, a doctoral programme and their eligibility criteria is given below:

Firstly, students have to fill the form of eligibility for appearing in the entrance examination. The Institute accepts entrance examinations such as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT for PGDM programmes, and for the FP management course there is a research aptitude test, work experience.  Admission is then granted based on the results of the final selection procedure, which consists of a personal interview of the candidates.

• For PGDM Programme, candidates need to pass a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks
• For the Fellow Programme of Management, candidates need to pass a master’s degree with at least 60% marks.

Placements are one of the most important aspects for any student considering pursuing a PGDM. Various companies visit the campus each year to recruit students from the institute and give them a position on their work.The JIMS, Technical Campus, Rohini has strong connections  to many corporates across India. 

Within a few months of finishing their studies at JIMS Rohini, more than 90% of the PGDM graduates get hired by some of the most top companies in India. Moreover, in  the previous three years, about 15 - 20% of them have left the country in search of job opportunities or further education. The institute provides summer internships to students for better preparation and experiences.
