XAT Syllabus 2024: The XAT syllabus, is based on verbal and logical ability, quantitative aptitude and data interpretation, decision-making, and general awareness. XAT is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice questions and an essay-based question. It is essential for candidates to know the XAT syllabus as it will enable them to prepare for the exam in an informed manner.
The XAT syllabus is not officially released by XLRI, Jamshedpur, which is the exam conducting body. However, the previous years’ questions papers of XAT can be used as a reference point for understanding the types of questions and topics evaluated in the exam. Candidates must strengthen their grasp of the foundational concepts while preparing for the XAT exam. Further, they are advised to practise from mock tests and sample question papers regularly.
XAT 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on January 7, 2024. It is recommended that aspirants start preparing for the exam well in advance so that they are able to cover all the major topics that form a part of the syllabus. Candidates need to keep themselves updated with current affairs to score well in the general awareness section of the exam and enhance their writing skills for the essay question.
XAT Syllabus 2024
In the XAT exam, there are 3 sections: a) Verbal and Logical Ability, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Ability, and Decision-Making b) Mock Keyboard Testing, and c) General Awareness and Essay Writing. The total number of questions in the exam ranges between 100 and 105. Each correct answer is awarded with 1 mark whereas 0.25 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. If there are more than 8 unattempted questions, there is a negative marking of 0.10 mark for each unanswered question. Candidates can create an exam preparation plan based on the XAT exam pattern and syllabus to maximise their chances of getting a high score.
