XAT Syllabus 2025 - XLRI Jamshedpur has released the syllabus for the XAT exam on its official website at xatonline.in. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must know the detailed XAT syllabus. They can download the syllabus PDF containing various topics and sub topics for Maths, English, and General Awareness.

The main topics in the XAT Maths syllabus are Algebra, Number System, Time and Work, Time, Distance and Speed, Mensuration and more. There will be 28 XAT maths questions each carrying 1 mark. There is also a negative marking of 0.25 marks according to the XAT Exam Pattern.

Apart from quantitative aptitude, the English section is the most scoring one including XAT reading comprehensions. It includes long paragraph related to any particular subject from which 5 questions will be asked. Aspirants have to read the comprehension carefully to answer the questions correctly. Candidates can also go through XAT question papers from previous years to know the overal and sectional difficulty level of paper.

In the XAT exam, there are 3 sections: a) Verbal and Logical Ability, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Ability, and Decision-Making b) Mock Keyboard Testing, and c) General Awareness and Essay Writing. The total number of questions in the exam ranges between 100 and 105. Each correct answer is awarded with 1 mark whereas 0.25 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. If there are more than 8 unattempted questions, there is a negative marking of 0.10 mark for each unanswered question. Candidates can create an exam preparation plan based on the XAT exam pattern and syllabus to maximise their chances of getting a high score.
