XAT Application Form 2026: The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) will close the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) application submission window on December 11, 2025, as per the revised dates. The XAT registration process began on July 10, 2025. Candidates can register for the Xavier Aptitude Test 2025 by visiting the official XAT website, xatonline.in. Along with filling out the XAT online application form, candidates need to pay a registration fee to complete the application process. The XAT exam 2026 will be held on January 4, 2026.

The application edit window was activated from November 25 (9:00 AM) to November 27, 2025 (9:00 AM), enabling candidates to review and correct details in their submitted applications.

Applicants who register on July 10 will receive exclusive Day 1 advantages, including access to live, closed-door sessions with the XAT Convenor, core team members, and XLRI student-toppers. They will also gain entry into a dedicated Telegram mentorship group, where they can benefit from preparation tips, live Q&A sessions, and personalised mentorship opportunities.

The XAT registration fee is INR 2,200 for all applications. There is an additional fee of INR 200 for those who apply for the XLRI programme. Candidates appearing for the XAT exam 2026 need to fill in their academic and work details, select programme details and test city preferences, and upload the required documents in the application form before paying the application fee. 

Candidates must check the XAT eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Applicants need to hold a 3-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline to be eligible for the XAT exam. Candidates who will complete their final examination for graduation before June 10, 2025, are also eligible to apply. 

XAT Application Form 2026 Date

The XAT registration is the first step towards appearing for the XAT examination. The XAT application window opened on July 10, 2025. The Xavier Aptitude Test is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur for admission to postgraduate management programmes. The last date to register is December 5, 2025.

XAT Application Form 2026: Steps to register

Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for XAT 2026. 

Step 1: Candidates are required to visit the official website of XAT - xatonline.in

Step 2: Click on the ‘Register 2026’ button 

Step 3: Enter Name, Contact Details, Email ID, and set a password

Step 4: Candidates will receive a system-generated email or message 

Step 5: Click on the link to verify your email ID and proceed to the application form

Step 6: Fill in the academic and work experience fields in the application form

Step 7: After filling out the work experience details, proceed to select the programme specifications 

Step 8: Candidates can select the XLRI programme as their preference if they wish to study at XLRI

Step 9: Choose a preference for the XAT Test City. Candidates can select up to two preferred test cities

Step 10: Candidates are required to upload a photograph, signature, and ID proof 

Step 11: Click on the declaration and verify the particulars filled in the form carefully

Step 12: Candidates need to click on the ‘payment’ tab once they have completed the application form

Step 13: The candidate has to click on the ‘submit’ button to complete the application process

Guidelines for Uploading Photographs

Candidates must follow the guidelines given below to upload the photograph on the XAT application form : 

• The photograph should be a recent passport-sized coloured photograph. 
• The coloured picture should be against a light-colored, preferably white background. 
• The preferred dimensions of the photograph are 200 x 230 pixels. 
• The photograph file size should be between 20 KB and 50 KB. 
• Ensure that there are no harsh shadows, squinting, red-eye, or reflections in the photograph. 
• Candidates must not be wearing caps, hats, or dark glasses in the photograph. 

Guidelines for Uploading Signature

Candidates need to keep the following guidelines in mind to upload their signature. 

• The candidate needs to sign on white paper with a black ink pen. 
• Candidates must note that their signature on the admit card and attendance sheet must match the signature uploaded on the application form. 
• The preferred dimensions of the signature image are 140 x 60 pixels.
• The signature file size should be between 10 KB and 20 KB. 

Instructions for Scanning Photograph and Signature

• The scanner resolution should be a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch). 
• The colour should be set to true colour.
• The image file must be in JPG or JPEG format.
