IIT Dharwad is an autonomous science and technology institute established in 2016. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework of 2023, the institute has been ranked 93rd among the top engineering colleges in India. The existing campus of IIT Dharwad is spread across  135 acres of land.

The institute offers courses in B.Tech, BS-MS, M.Tech, MS, and PhD. The admission to undergraduate courses of B.Tech, BS-MS is granted on the basis of JEE scores, and to that of postgraduate courses of M.Tech and MS takes place on the basis of GATE scores.

IIT Dharwad B.Tech Admission 2024

IIT Dharwad offers B.Tech in five branches of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mathematics and Computing, and Mechanical Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate must have scored a minimum of 75% in Class 12 and should appear for JEE examination.

Selection Criteria:

Admission is granted on the basis of scores and rank obtained in JEE.

IIT Dharwad BS-MS Admission 2024

IIT Dharwad offers a five-year BS-MS programme that can be majored in any of the four subjects- Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.

A candidate must have scored a minimum of 75% in Class 12 and should appear for JEE examination.

IIT Dharwad M.Sc Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria:

Qualifying Degree

• B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering
• Any B.Tech/B.E. in allied Engineering branches
• Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
• MSc in Computer Science

Valid GATE Score

• A valid GATE score in Computer Science and Engineering is essential for TA and PA categories (except for candidates from IITs or IISc with certain criteria). GATE score is not mandatory for the EX category.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria For General/General (EWS)/OBC category candidates and those with no concessions:

• A minimum of 60% marks (without rounding off) in the entire duration of the undergraduate program.
• A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.0 on a scale of 0-10, with proportional requirements for different scales. Candidates with an MSc in Computer Science should have a minimum of 60% marks in both BSc in Computer Science and MSc in Computer Science. Candidates with an MCA should have a minimum of 60% marks in both BCA and MCA.

Selection Criteria:

Admission is granted on the basis of GATE score.
