IIT Bombay Placements 2024: Highest, Average and Median CTCs

IIT Bombay Placement 2024 Latest Update: For the 2023-24 academic session, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) concluded its initial placement round, engaging with 388 firms from both domestic and global sectors. This phase witnessed 85 job offers, each with a CTC surpassing Rs 1 crore annually. The average annual salary for these phase 1 placements stood at Rs 24.02 lakh, marking an increase compared to the prior year's average of Rs 21.82 lakh.

As of December 20, 2023, students from IIT Bombay amassed 1,340 job offers, resulting in 1,188 successful job placements. Among these placements, seven students secured positions within public sector entities (PSUs). Additionally, out of the 297 pre-placement offers (PPOs) derived from internships, 258 were confirmed. On the global front, students received 63 job offers, with opportunities spanning countries like Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Hong Kong. More than 60 students have accepted international job offers

A total of 644 B.Tech enrolled students secured on-campus placement during IIT Bombay placement session 2024 with a median salary of INR 19.63 LPA whereas M.Tech median package stood at INR 15 LPA. Recruiters from diverse sectors like Engineering, Analytics, Finance, Data Science, R&D, IT, Software, PSUs, etc participated in the IIT Bombay placement drive 2024. The engineering and Technology sector witnessed the highest number of job offers with more than 90 companies offering diverse roles in related sectors.

The highest domestic package of INR 1.32 CPA was offered by Da Vinci Derivatives in the finance sector.

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) Placement 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay is renowned for its excellent placement record and attracts top recruiters from various industries. Graduates from IIT Bombay have been placed in leading companies both in India and abroad. In the first phase of placements for the 2023 graduating batch at IIT Bombay, the highest international package offered was INR 3.67 crore per annum (CPA), while the highest domestic package stood at INR 1.31 CPA. A total of 1431 students were successfully placed across 293 companies. Recruiters extended around 300 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) and made 1348 on-campus offers. Among these, 194 PPOs and 1237 offers were accepted by the students. Additionally, there were 71 international offers, of which 63 were accepted. Notably, 25 students secured packages above INR 1 crore per annum. The average package at IIT Bombay for the 2023 batch was INR 23.26 lakh per annum. 

IIT Bombay MBA placements for 2023, achieved a 100% placement rate. The average package for MBA graduates witnessed an 11% increase, reaching INR 28.88 lakh per annum. The highest package recorded for MBA students was INR 54 lakh per annum. A total of 115 students secured placements, with participation from top recruiters like Accenture, Amazon, PWC, Deloitte, EXL, HCL, and many more.

IIT Bombay MBA placements for the graduating batch of 2023, achieved a remarkable 100% placement rate. MBA graduates witnessed a notable 11% increase in the average package, reaching an impressive INR 28.88 lakh per annum. Moreover, the highest package recorded for MBA students stood at an outstanding INR 54 lakh per annum.
