IIT Bombay Placement 2023 Latest Update: Despite concerns about a potential global tech slowdown and other uncertainties, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) commenced the first phase of placements on a positive note last Friday. IIT Bombay saw the acceptance of over 200 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), and three PSUs—HPCL, C-DOT, and ONGC—recruited students even before the official start of placements. Approximately 40 companies conducted interviews in two slots on the first day, with expectations of more than 350 companies participating in the placement season until December 15. According to the PRO of IIT Bombay, 80 percent of regular recruiters from the previous year took part on the first day.
Notable companies for domestic profiles that participated on Friday include Google India, Apple, and Microsoft India, along with others like Procter and Gamble, Sony Japan, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Tata Group, and more. Although IIT Bombay did not disclose the number of offers received on the first day, the overall outlook seemed promising.

IIT Bombay MBA placements for 2023, achieved a 100% placement rate. The average package for MBA graduates witnessed an 11% increase, reaching INR 28.88 lakh per annum. The highest package recorded for MBA students was INR 54 lakh per annum. A total of 115 students secured placements, with participation from top recruiters like Accenture, Amazon, PWC, Deloitte, EXL, HCL, and many more.
