IIT Bombay Placements 2024: Highest, Average and Median CTCs

IIT Bombay Placement 2024 Latest Update: For the 2023-24 academic session, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) concluded its final placement round, engaging with 388 firms from both domestic and global sectors. Participation from a total of 543 companies was made out of which 364
companies made offers. A hike of 12% was witnessed in the companies recruited from the IIT Bombay campus since last year. Over 22 job offers made were above INR 1 crore per annum.

As of June 2024, 1475 students from IIT Bombay were placed successfully along with 1350 unique Job Announcement Forms profiles offered. On the global front, students received opportunities spanning countries like Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Hong Kong. More than 60 students have accepted international job offers. 

A total of 683 B.Tech enrolled students secured on-campus placement during IIT Bombay placement session 2024 with a median salary of INR 19.63 LPA whereas M.Tech median package stood at INR 15 LPA. Recruiters from diverse sectors like Engineering, Analytics, Finance, Data Science, R&D, IT, Software, PSUs, etc participated in the IIT Bombay placement drive 2024. The engineering and Technology sector witnessed the highest number of job offers with more than 90 companies offering diverse roles in related sectors.

The highest domestic package of INR 1.32 CPA was offered by Da Vinci Derivatives in the finance sector.

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) Placement 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay is renowned for its excellent placement record and attracts top recruiters from various industries. Graduates from IIT Bombay have been placed in leading companies both in India and abroad. A total of 1475 students were successfully placed across 364 companies. Recruiters extended around 300 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) and made 1348 on-campus offers.  Additionally, there were 78 international offers, of which 63 were accepted. Notably, 22 students secured packages above INR 1 crore per annum. The average package at IIT Bombay for the 2024 batch was INR 23.5 lakh per annum. 

IIT Bombay MBA placements for 2024, achieved a 100% placement rate. The average package for MBA graduates witnessed an 11% increase, reaching INR 28.88 lakh per annum. The highest package recorded for MBA students was INR 54 lakh per annum. A total of 115 students secured placements, with participation from top recruiters like Accenture, Amazon, PWC, Deloitte, EXL, HCL, and many more.

The Engineering and Technology sector recruited the highest numbers of students. In various engineering domains, 430 students were selected in 106 core engineering companies at entry-level positions. Information Technology and Tech hiring have slightly more this season compared to last year. Around 307 students have been offered IT/Software jobs by over 84 companies through campus placement, making the IT sector the second biggest recruiter after the engineering sector. Compared to last year fewer selections, i.e. 117 consulting offers were made by 29 consulting companies. Trading, Banking, and Fintech companies were prominent recruiters. The finance sector has 113 offers from 33 financial service firms this year.
